Similar to what the guy said below, they should focus on creating a line that goes from Bronx - Queens to Brooklyn. Stop focusing so much in Manhattan only. Almost every line already goes through it.

Will the line finish to Wall Street/Hanson square 50 years later before i die?

I still don't understand why they focus so much on Manhattan when they should be focusing on getting trains from The Bronx to queens and Brooklyn instead majority of lines already go into Manhattan I shouldn't have go to Manhattan just to go to the bronx or queens

For those suggesting a subway from the Bronx to Queens, as a lifelong New Yorker that always made sense to me as far back as the early 1980's when I had to travel from Queens to Coop City to my high school (Truman). Actually I think it should have been from upper West Side of Manhattan like the 168th Street train station where the A and 1 train meet, travel east to The Bronx and make stops at both Fordham Road stations (or somewhere in between with walkways), then Pelham Parkway stations across to maybe Castle Hill 6 train station (or close by) and then tracks along the Whitestone Bridge and maybe and endpoint at Flushing/Main Street or better yet continue across to the E/F station. Something like that. It also never made sense for the F to end at 179th Street/Hillside Avenue, that should continue up to Little Neck. I understand the need for the 2nd avenue line BUT that has been an unbelievable waste of money when the existing infrastructures of the IND/IRT lines should have been upgraded to accommodate more trains on a timely schedule like trains in Tokyo. Even the London tube runs more efficient than NYC transit. As for Queens to Brooklyn, well what I thought coming from Manhattan across The Bronx to Queens can also branch off and cut across to Middle Village M train. The gargantuan waste of money for the 2nd Avenue Subway is because it's underground but with today's technology above ground train stations would have been better and faster and not as expensive.

Instead of turning westward on 125th street, why not continue the 2nd avenue line into the Bronx, either with a tunnel under, or a bridge over, the Harlem River. The line would be built over 3rd avenue, and somehow make its way over to a station at Co-op City, where the D train will have a new terminal (if the MTA doesn't decide to just continue either of the respective lines on different trackage). Another, far more pressingly important reason is because of the fault line along 125th street, bisecting Manhattan from the East River to the Hudson River.

8 years to construct 3 stations that had tunnels already bored 50 years ago. yeah we definitely went backwards.

The cost is insane. In my city, Santiago Chile, we could build lines 7, 8 & 9 of the Santiago Metro with the cost of this project

Have the 11 trains work with the 7 Flushing. The 11 trains could definitely run to 14 street Hudson yards and 20 college point whitestone Queens elevated while the 7 Flushing line be extended to Bayside Queens. The powder blue 🔵 8 Thrid Ave Elevated line could definitely be extended to Gun hill road Clearmount Webster Boston road Bronx and Batincal gardens Frordam plaza and Battery park place or chatmam Square or south or Queens plaza connecting to the 7 N W 11 trains 🚃.

You don't like riding the M15 first Avenue and second Avenue?
@Melbester9
@Melbester9 6 ай бұрын
M15 takes too long because of the long route on 1st and 2nd Avenue. I remember waiting a long time for that bus when I used to take it. 2nd Avenue Subway helps reduce the waiting times for the bus if you aren't going local on the street. Q and T train access helps. I just want to see Phase 3 and Phase 4. I might be dead by the time they finish this project. Hope I'm still alive to ride the T train

7 billion dollars just to build three new stations - what a waste of money!! Meanwhile, other cities in U.S. and around the world have figured out that building elevated lines are far cheaper and faster to build. But, we are talking about NYC where our tax dollars to build boondoggles like the Second Avenue subway go to die.

This is pointless, how many lines other than the ,1,2,3,4,5,6,A,B,C & D trains do you need to connect thru 125?
@leecornwell5632
@leecornwell5632 Ай бұрын
You said the 4 5 6 lines for Lexington Avenue. 2 3 trains west side across 125 street. A B C D trains. Then 137 street to connect to the 1 Broadway line. That's is 100 percent correct. Eventually they are gonna wind rebuilding the brand new Thrid Avenue Elevated line in the Boggie down south Bronx Clearmount Webster Boston road Bronx I'm telling you. If you look on KZbin. You will definitely see all the developments on Thrid Avenue Clearmount Tremont Webster Boston road Bronx I'm telling you. They just don't build no affordable houses and other new businesses for nothing. Just think about that. I definitely gerrente you it will soak it in your head the Thrid Avenue Elevated line could definitely come back because it is gonna definitely happen I tell you that right now. No matter how much they tair down the 8 Thrid Ave Elevated line down because millions and millions of people are still processing about and they want this 8 Thrid Ave Elevated to come back.
