It has always been in the Holy (Catholic) Bible. It was only removed from protestant bibles.

I had wondered for many years about the history between Malachi and Matthew in the bible. Now I know. Read in the Britannica about the Maccabees. The name means hammer or delivered. The sects of the Pharisees and Sadducees came from the descendants of the brothers and the son of Simon. 😊

I'm not halfway through, and Eleazar's speech in Chapter 5:18-31 almost compelled me to tears. Including the Mother and her seven sons in Chapter 7.The historical events in God's word are formidable and humbling.

Correct me if I’m wrong but the 1st & 2nd book of Maccabees is just like “Kings” & “Chronicles”, showing 2 different sides of the same time period? & I greatly appreciate your channel. I believe the second half of Hebrews 11:35 is a reference to Eleazar the high priest and the seven brothers and their mother in 2 Maccabees 6-7: Hebrews 11:35b - "...and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection." 2 Maccabees 6:30 - "When he was about to die under the blows, he groaned aloud and said: “It is clear to the Lord in his holy knowledge that, though I might have been saved from death, I am enduring terrible sufferings in my body under this beating, but in my soul I am glad to suffer these things because I fear him." 2 Maccabees 7:9,36 - "And when he was at his last breath, he said, “You accursed wretch, you dismiss us from this present life, but the King of the universe will raise us up to a renewal of everlasting life, because we have died for his laws. For our brothers, after enduring a brief suffering for everlasting life, have fallen under God’s covenant, but you, by the judgment of God, will receive just punishment for your arrogance."

@@antwangraham7891 Yes there is a 3rd and 4th Maccabees. It was translated into Greek Septuagint. But they never added it into the KJV with the Apocrypha.

@Ben O Brien nope. It was in the Hebrew Madsoretic text then translateed in the Greek Septuagint next since 132 BC. Then the Orthodox to the ESV. It was never added to the KJV.

Meqabyan, also referred to as Ethiopian Maccabees , are three books found only in the Ethiopian Orthodox Old Testament and Beta Israel Mäṣḥafä Kedus Biblical canon.The language of these books is Geʽez, also called Classical Ethiopic. These books are completely different in content and subject from the various better known books of Maccabees in Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Bibles.

I’m still trying to understand what happened and who first started. Was it the Scriptures or the HalleluYah scriptures translation which is the same translation. But who is in it for The Most High and who’s in it for money. I’ve supported both because I don’t know but I have read The Scriptures Bible has taken whatwhat wasn’t theirs and used it for personal gain. I wouldn't say it's banned from the bible, it was removed from the bible after the reformation. Council of Hippo 393AD, Council of Carthage 397AD and council of Florence 1439AD all listed The canon of scripture which contained the deuterocanonical books.
