Yo okay maybe people have already noticed this but during their solos of the chorus, each of Olivia, Sofia, Josh, and Matt’s lines all pertain to their story arcs. Olivia: “I’ve got a second chance to fly” This line references how Nini has a chance to be successful musically again. She had lost her first chance when she went to the Actor school but now with Jamie’s help, Nini can become an actual artist. Matt: “I’ve got a second chance to fall” This line references both how EJ now has a chance to fall in love with another person, Gina. However, it also means that EJ has yet a second chance to have a failed relationship if he a, doesn’t treat Gina right or b, doesn’t ask Gina out at all. Sofia: “What can make the tide turn?” This line references how Gina wants EJ to ask her to be more than friends and how Gina wants a turn of the tides moment (like when Ashley tells Gina how she thought Gina felt about EJ) in order for her and EJ to date. Josh: “What can make the fire burn?” This line references Ricky’s newfound yearning(??? I guess with Lily. Even despite all that’s happened, Ricky wants to give Lily a chance and have a spark between them. Anyways yeah that’s all my thoughts I love this song so much!

Or when Ricky says “what can make the fire burn” he might’ve been thinking about Nini. He says earlier with Carlos that “Nini hasn’t looked at me the way Seb looks at you in a while” because really that “flame” had been out for Nini and Ricky was fighting so hard to keep the “fire” burning in their relationship. The song is pretty retrospective so he could’ve been reflecting on his failed relationship Idk just my opinion 🤷🏽‍♀️

@@justabean1198 yeah I was kinda thinking about that too but I don’t trust Tim Ferdele with Ricky actually just healthily moving on, 😂😂Rickys entire thing BOTH seasons was to fight for Nini, but he would kind of rebound with somebody or something last season he got to know Gina, his rebound will probably be Lily because he called her but he doesn’t exactly like her, she just told him to give her a chance, so he wouldn’t be too deep in that relationship yet.
