So, this is what I think 1) Something happened in Kayin's childhood that makes her keep holding back on love. This babe isn't mentally ready to marry and she needs to have brutally honest and deep conversations with Muna about it. Her questions about Muna's possible infidelity in the future is a hint to something she may have experienced or witnessed in the past. Also, the fact she's stuck in Surgery that she doesn't want to do shows she isn't so in control of her life as people would think. 2) Hmm, I don't know yet but I REALLY think Ameh was molested/ sexually abused when she was younger. The nightmares, her brother's push to go seek professional help, her staunch desire to hide it under prayers and not face it. Yes, she's your perfect church girl and covers herself and goes from one meeting to another but I personally think it's all a cover for some deep secret. When she asked Kayin to cover up before going to the supermarket, and her withdrawal once she realized she was hugging Felix, it may look like churchiness but it also looks like this babe is afraid. Her incessant desire to please everyone through her cooking for them and making sure they're okay looks like a normal mother behaviour type but she might also be sub consciously trying to seek validation from everyone. She barely knows how to stand up for herself and deems herself lucky enough for Felix to even want to be with her. Unfortunately, predators like Felix smell hurting girls like Ameh from afar and use it to their twisted advantage. If I hear say Jite go take am when im ask am whether she dey stupid (as he did in the previous episode), na that day relationship go end. Anyways, this girl's esteem has been hit and I really think it's abuse.

I was so much like Konyi. Its now that God is delivering me from fear. I got engaged three times to two different men and later returned the rings. Thank God my current husband was too traditional for a western proposal. Maybe that would have jinxed it. Talk about the curse of the ring. Lol. I missed an engagement ceremony. There's definitely something Mentally wrong with Kanyin and the underlying effect of it makes up a huge RED flag from her. She avoids responsibilities both professionally and emotionally because of the fear of making a mistake but yet she wants to be seen and treated as the idle elegant responsible female. I feel her mom created an "abandonment issue" in her upbringing . She initially and honestly didn't see anything bad in not accepting the proposal at first until Jite made her realize that she has lost the perfect man every woman wants... Remember she asked Muna "are you sure you wouldn't leave me when you find someone else who's perfect for you " ?... And she for some reason doesn't see the value in being seen publicly wearing her ring or getting married soon. That's all shades of unhealthy and borderline. I admire Jite eye of intuition and reasonable thinking.

I think she's coming from a place of an unhealthy relationship with her mum. Remember how excited she was about community medicine in the first episode and didnt like the idea of cutting people open? And when ameh asked why shes training to be a surgeon she said "it comes with a certain rep" From the looks of things, shes in surgery cos of her mum. Her mum's control over her, harsh criticism may have contributed to her fearful disposition to life and uncertainty in making decisions for herself (as we see in her relationship with Munachi) Our background really shapes who we are but there comes a time we would have to take a stand and decide what we want and who we are becoming

Mehn, this such a good production! You can tell so much thought was put into it. The scenes are fluid, the natural flow of dialogue, even the set design, you can see attention to detail. One thing I love the most is how these characters are sooo human. The holy girl is shy, awkward but is probably hiding some secret beneath all that churchiness. She loves God but is not intentional about guarding her heart or finding out more about her bobo, him being a pastor is enough for her. She has really low self-esteem and fantasizes about being a minister's wife, as if that's more important than her relationship with God. Jite! Fire woman! Sharp tongue, always sharp with a stinging retort but has deep identity issues and doesn't love herself enough to stop defining her worth by a ring on her finger. Kayin, sweet , soft spoken, loving but hiding from herself. And Iya Amina, amebo PROMAX. How is your life so uninteresting that you easily meddle into other people's own? And gosh ALL THESE ACTORS CAN ACT! I laughed throughout Iya Amina's scenes, fell in love with Akah's acting prowess all over again and Efa! Chef's kiss! Ahan! Not one single character made a scene boring or out of place, I was as immersed in the story they were telling as they were. My oh My! It's their micro expressions for me!
