All of my aunts are stay at home moms and they're also glamorous. All of my uncles are Scotts and wanted the Betty Crocker arm candy and they found the women who didn't want to work, married them, had all my cousins, and now all of my generation work, but that's what we all want for ourselves. Our parents' marriages have lasted decades and Scott is right, there's nothing wrong with wanting arm candy, there are millions of woman who want to be that and never work. To each their own.

I dont see a problem there is a large percentage of women who try to perpetuate the 1950s relationship structure so there is a large percentage of women who fit his wants and expectations. The women who dont perpetuate those standards are mad and saying hes messed up but he doesn't want you.... so how does this effect you at all he wants the women who want that kind of life hes not trying to change anyone or waste their time if they aren't down for that lifestyle. Its not so much as the standard but the way of thinking and the sexism involved. This guy is basically saying "I don't want a woman who is successful because "I dont feel they belong in that position." This is made clear when he says " i think you should learn your place" after he discovers Brookes husband is unemployed after she mentioned she could pay for her own vacation. This guy firmly believes woman should be attractive and do what they are told, that is the issue.

Ehh. My fiancé and I plan on me being a stay at home wife and mom. My fiancé doesn’t mind if I have hobbies and goals, but he will be my #1. He will go out and work every day and be the bread winner, and I’ll stay home and cook and clean. It’s what we both want. Sure, the guy in this sounds like a walking red flag. But the fact that someone (husband or wife) wants an ‘old fashioned’ arrangement of a working man and stay at home wife, that’s not really that weird. Give me a break!

It's amazing that they're giving this guy such a hard time when we live in a day and age where there are legions of girls that literally want exactly what he's asking for. I am not super successful or Rich by any means, however I did tell my wife if she wanted to stay home and be a housewife she could. I gave her the option. She chose to stay home for 10 years and then went back to work.

I own everything a person needs for a comfortable life style but if I ever fall in love with a man who can truly possess my heart; I bet you: i would gladly give up my career, I would passionately cook for him , clean for him and make myself beautiful for him at all times and I would be so pleased to serve him for his happiness is what gives me joy.
