In the summer of 1897, George Pullman was voted the world's "Most Perfect Town" by the International Hygienie and Pharmaceutical Exposition in Prague. The medals, both exquisite round bronzes, are noteworthy. One features the allegorical figure of Hygenia, while the other showcases the coats of arms of the Exposition Association and the Geneva Red Cross Society, set against the backdrop of Prague's renowned tower. The diploma, executed in vibrant colors on vellum, is exquisitely illuminated and serves as the frontispiece in a sizable album measuring two feet square. Within this album, alongside photographs of the exposition, lies a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Bound in luxurious leather, its front cover is adorned with intricate designs, as depicted in the accompanying illustration. At the center is a portrait of Archduke Rainer, flanked by depictions of the medals bestowed upon Mr. Pullman. Surrounding the centerpiece is the coat of arms of his Imperial Highness, framed by the collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece, an honor exclusive to members of the Austrian royal family. The album's ornamentation features delicate filigree metalwork adorned with garnets. Along with this splendid creation comes a handsomely engrossed letter, bound in Russian leather.
