Feature parity for what is possible should remain free on mobile if its free on desktop. I would be terribly upset if I got taxed for using mobile and I think overall it would be a net negative to SL overall. Id like to see the mobile experience expand SLs reach. Draw in new faces and new creators. I also think that as a sub the Premium pro experience is anemic. The Premium experiemce isn't exactly that great either but for 20 or 30 dollars unless youre a creator it's not a compelling offer. Especially since 120 dollars of its yearly total seems to be tied up in the stipend. And 650 a month really doesn't get you anywhere in today's SL. 12 years ago that's an outfit. Today thats a top at some stores.

I had a mirror 4 years ago, but you had to sit on a prim that took you to a room, the room was rotated 90 degree so one wall was down towards water, I had a windlight settings to make the water smooth and reflective, the water could reflect avatars and dark gray prim under the water gave a mirror effect, so I did ask some time if LL not could give us a vater surface as a small mirror :D But this is 100 times better and in a time when when most computers have the power to render it.

It was great watching this! I've been working with PBR for a couple of months and really enjoying it. But was disappointed hearing about the proposed costs for uploading 2K textures. Seems it could be a LITTLE less than 4X the 1K price; I realize the files are 4X the size but the overhead is the same. AND (maybe more important) there is a cost for Premium Plus members, and the SL Website says all over the place that Texture Uploads for those folks are free. I'm sure there's also a "subject to change" clause somewhere, but whatever the policy is needs to be reflected on the Website immediately (or even before) that policy takes effect.

Yeah I was expecting more like 30L-40L for regular accounts. Having the cost for Premium Plus was surprising too cause a big sell for that level was the free uploads!

Important to note that PBR materials don't support "specular maps" that's pretty confusing at 17:50 for newbies. It sounds like you're talking about a Blinn-phong material, PBR only currently support Base color, Normal maps and a composite data map (Metallic, Roughness, AO) with optional Emissive, etc.

I really think if you want to "up" the community engagement, you truly need to look at the Bellisseria effect. So many of us engage within that community because it's beautiful,warm and friendly,as well as helpful. However, it has put people on the fringes, people who are mightily tempted by your 5 dollar offering, but cannot afford the land. They are still faced with the haves/ have- not situation. I do not choose houses where the 512s all around me are dead empty. Why not provide the 5 dollar accounts to claim those? Undoubtedly, it would fill in those areas, and create more account holders to covet the more prims,lol. Growth. If you can figure out how to do a plus home catch,you can do it with the 512s.

YES! Please! I want to come back to my SL! I had to stop logging in because my laptop crashed, graphics were no more supported by my graphics card´s drives. Now I only can use this awful old laptop Toshiba Satellite I got, made in 2010 and none of the viewers can be load. So I have more than a year missing my SL, so sad! Buaaaa! Snif!

Will BOM bake down to 1024, or if I upload a 2048 texture, will it bake down as 2048?

I really look forward to seeing places that use pbr textures on terrains. I can only imagine that places are going to look absolutely amazing once many people start putting pbr textures on mountains and that. I am also looking forward to seeing more mirrors and I think it would be amazing if someone could create a mirror maze :D. If anyone does create a mirror maze please let me know and invite me. Mirror mazes would be really cool and fun :D

charging premium plus users for texture upload, its free that's why i signed up for premium plus so why are you charging us for premium plus its already high enough one of the perks was free texture upload

They aren't charging you anything. You can choose to pay for that tier, or for none at all. Second life is free.

Sounds like they are going to charge for the mobile app if you want to enjoy it, i can't get inworld because in the country we have no broadband just cell 4G, been that way for the last 3 years, 😕. Why would I want to pay premium to play on a postage stamp screen? I used to buy a ton of Linden $ over the last 15 years, I saw no advantage being premium. maybe one day in the rl we might get broadband here but it is not likely, if we did mobile would be a mute point for some of us without internet, stats say 25% of the US in broadbandless. please keep mobile free for the masses who live in the stone age.

Just a clarification: There are no plans to charge for access to the Mobile App. However, it is currently in a pre-release Private Alpha that is only available to Premium Plus subscribers - but it will be opening up to everyone soon!

At this time, child avatars are allowed access to adult regions (as long as they do not participate in adult content). This is also clearly stated in the official Conduct Guidelines. 22:35 Keira's statement here contradicts this, but is she talking about changes in the new policy?

I figured mirrors would suddenly be a thing when some people figured out you could just use a reflection probe to fake a mirror anyway

Very interesting and easy to follow. 10:32 For "Building" (on Mobile Viewer) ... it would be helpful to be able to "just place something from the inventory" in-world ... and position it easy (move y,x,z ... and rotate), maybe scale. I think, that would cover 95% of the needs. 11:20 Doesn't the mouse/keyboard easy come from the OS (at least Android)? I was lately accidentally charge my mobile on a Docking-Station ... and was instantly got offered Mouse/Keyboard. iOS might be different. 22:30 Very welcome, Child-Avatars are not (longer?) allowed on Adult-rated Sims ... at least in the past, as the adult-rating was enabled, them was not forbidden, only "close to adult activities" - anytime annoying discussions since years. Beside of the guidelines ... a "catalog of examples" would make some things also better to understand for people, special these, which reading ToS, rules, community standards, guidelines trough a translation. 24:20 Kinda back to the good old times. (Them wasn't technical perfect ... but very good.) Somehow I feel with the comments above, I being already at such round table ... 😅 Sorry, just "my 2 Cents and thoughts that wanna come out".
