Appreciate the video as I am setting up my remote work office. I am trying to decide whether a samsung tablet would actually be useful as a second screen or if it's more of a gimmick. Do you use one with your work laptop or would you consider using one after this experience? One factor I am worried about is that the samsung tablet would be both for work and personal usage, especially as this is more of a luxurious buy and not an essential one (from my own pocket to supplement work laptop)

Yes, I use the Tab S8 from time to time with my Windows laptop for work as shown in the video.

Is it possible to connect Samsung tablet as a display for Mac?

not possible as far as I am aware of. There might an app to allow you to do that, such as Duet Display 🤷♀️ but I personally do not use it.

Great video! Any plans on doing a video on ipados16? Gesture controls for stage manager maybe?

Will surely make a video on stage manager! Just downloaded it on my iPad Pro 😉 thanks for watching! Stay tuned as I also plan to compare stage manager to Samsung Dex on Tab S8!

Are you still using Shift Screen? I find it annoying that my $150 Chrome Book has far batter screen support than my $500 IPad!

I haven’t used shiftscreen lately. I edit a lot on my iPad Pro so shiftscreen is not usable for that. I’ll be making a video soon on stage manager, but that doesn’t really address what you (& i and others) want as external monitor is not yet in iPadOS 16 😤

screen shift is terrible
@clydeosterhout12212 жыл бұрын
@@takoflame4948 I use it occasionally. I wouldn’t say it is terrible, but it IS very limited. I have a couple of tasks that it works pretty well with using web apps. But I think that it is absolutely ridiculous that my $200 Chromebook is more capable than my $400 IPad when it comes to actually working (in many ways). If I just wanted a content consuming device I’d just stick with my cheap Fire Tablet! My IPad Is very useful, and I use it in a daily basis, but I am gradually working my way back to Android based devices.
