I like that your 1P tent has such a long opening, unlike many of the smaller bivvy tents that are like cocoons, and hard to enter and exit. Even though your trike and bags are super high visibility yellow and green, that tarp you have makes it all disappear. From a distance, the covered trike actually disappears more than your tent. The tent could actually be an even darker shade in my opinion. The thing is however, that since the tent and trike are so low to the ground, all the creosote bushes hide it at ground level if someone is in the area. steve

Agreed, yes but if I wanted I also have a tarp that is the same camouflage material as the trike tarp. It wouldn't cover the whole tent, but the majority of it...enough to break-up the shape and overall tent. I also have another camouflage tarp that I have which is a little darker than my trike camouflage tarp. I plan on testing it out next time with my KUIU tent, which is darker as well. The funny thing about all these creosote bushes is...they all are somewhat short in height. Creosote bushes can grow very high and big, but in this region they are all about three to four feet tall at most. Which makes it a little difficult to stealth camp amongst. As I mentioned to you in the email, I had a irritating experience the next morning. But I learned from it, that next time I need to push out further and not by way of easy access from a dirt road....The art of stealth camping: clues, techniques, signs and past experiences.
