Is it possible to let the interest compound? Eg if u deposit 1millon at 10% coupon. Then at the end of the year, you let them keep the 100k yield. So that the following years principal is 1.1M.

You have to initiate a roll over in bonds and bid afresh for a new bond in auction. The automatic roll overs happen in tbills. You can state that you need the money rolled over. In bonds you have to bid afresh as different bonds are issued every month.

Hi Angie, thank you so much for the valuable information you share with us, I've benefited a lot!!!. Wanted some clarification; If say I had bought a bond in the primary market and want to purchase the same bond in the secondary market, will the secondary value be added to the initial primary value in my dhowcsd account to work out how long I shall be receiving coupons for this bond? Or will it be looked as separate transactions?
@angieontbonds7 ай бұрын
Hello, the bond will be added to your portfolio on the DhowCSD.

Hi Angie I just stumbled upon this excellent conversation. I've subscribed & I believe many people will appreciate it, especially if you simplify the terms used like you're talking to a two year old😊. Well done.

Is it a one time premium payment or its a cut for every financial yr? I mean when you are buying the bond
@angieontbonds Жыл бұрын
Only one time and that's it. It may not be a significant amount, depending on where the rates are.
