In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens kzbin.infoUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

Motiejus KN wrong! I’ve used both and the ibobber is every bit as accurate and doesn’t disconnect like the deeper unit does, there has been many comparisons between the two over the years and the ibobber has proven itself to be every bit as good, I own both and actually only take out the ibobber because of the connectivity issues known to plague the deeper

I just got one and am teaching myself how to use it. This video is very helpful. One piece of information I haven't been able to find in this video or the user manual is what the number next to the fish means. At one point, I saw 4 green fish icons on the sonar and each had a number with it. What is the iBobber telling me with the number. Thanks.

The iBobber tags 2 fish sizes - Orange tag is fish under 15 inches / 38cm, green tag is over 15 inches /38cm. The numbers shown on these tags refer to the depth of the fish. Hope this helps.

Can this be use for ice fishing?
@SecondChanceCoUk
@SecondChanceCoUk 7 жыл бұрын
Yes! But we want you to understand the limitations of sonar technology, too. All sonar needs liquid water to go anywhere or do anything. If the hole in the ice starts closing up, the sonar will be limited by the ice. This also means that if the ice is too thick under the water, it will disrupt the signal, which radiates in a cone shape (with the source at the top point). To avoid these issues, use our iBobber by centering it as best you can. As long as it has a clear path you should be fine.

+blake wareb Attach the iBobber to your fishing line by attaching your line through the higher of the two attachment points. We suggest you use a swivel and make sure it’s locked so the iBobber doesn’t become separated from the line. The lower attachment point is used to attach a lure when fishing for small pan fish.

The red part of the iBobber (the bottom) is where the sonar is located and will be submerged. The white part (the top) is where the bluetooth device is located and needs to be out of the water to communicate with your smartphone. This is also where the charging connectors are located, so the unit is actually upside down when placed in the charging dock.
