I made the same comment 1yr ago and got so much hate. Chinese or not we need more options than small displacement parallel twins. I've been riding for 30yrs and never felt like we were going backwards with engine performance until this parallel twin craze. They're budget with lame character no mater how good the chasis or fancy electronics
@PopsRacer614 ай бұрын
@@davidlagno7717 ..I have to agree with you. Although I like the personalities of all engines for their different sounds and characteristics, we know the reason for the parallel twin craze. Cheaper to produce = slightly more profit margin for the manufacturer, easier to maintain, better gas mileage, lower insurance cost for the customer...usually. I have a parallel twin and 4 cyl in the garage, just missing a 3 cyl and this may be the one to get. There's a CF Moto dealership less than 5 miles from me... so the 675 is calling my name 🙉

This parallel twin craze has devastated me over the last decade. I'm just glad to have more options. I'd buy a used 600 Inline-4 over any twin no matter what chasis they slap it in. So glad to have other options Chinese or not. At least some engineers are thinking outside the box.

Parallel twins have no character and I'm just glad there's some more options out there. Chinese or not. Everyone has a budget and I'm a true enthusiast, I respect anything on 2 wheels. But yea , we've come so far we need variety like we've had since the 60's and 70"s and the mind-blowing technology and speed of the late 90's and 00's.

@davidlagno77173 ай бұрын
@samwiselord Yes they do. Absolutely. But not enough to take over the entire Japanese market and deprive us of real outstanding bikes that broke barriers like the R6 and R1. R6 is gone and R1 I'm surprised is still on the floors for 2025. There's nothing mind-blowing about any of these par twins. They're way overpriced idc what chasis you slap it in. To me it's just a toy. Maybe KTM has something going on but they're overpriced and QC is garbage. There was no need to flood the entire market. The MT-07 was enough.

This is a tough call. GSX8R has some of the fastest torque available period, and the ride-by-wire with autoblip, but is it realllly necessary when you can torque through everything and stay in the same gear? idk. But damn, that is a sexy looking CFMoto, it looks like an alternate universe Kawasaki. I usually think silver/grey bikes look like E-bikes but they created a nice looking color scheme with heavy black. GSX-8R looks a little funny to me and has a tiny butt.
