On my first run, I started tactician mode. But i didn’t know how to play the game. So I ended up destroying the grove for Minthara at level 3, because the hyenas, spiders, and goblins had all killed me several times. It was the path of least resistance.

Some people seem to forget that one of things that make BG3 such a great game is it allows each player to play the game their own way, and not be limited to playing along similar paths suggested by portions of the Chat. Dev, here, is making her own choices and playing the game in a way that is fun and interesting to her. And if at times, she wants to see something she missed out on, she can simply check in with the playthroughs of her friends and fellow castmates. #LetHerCook

This is already quite a technical accomplishment - struggling against the barriers, gatekeeping, and limits imposed by the Playstation platform as well as those inherent to Twitch. I'm pretty sure people who manage streams out there would agree with me on this one (eg Jay Britton, Amelia's partner who assisted her with her stream). There are several barriers of entry to overcome to stream successfully & creatively - ie the high monetary cost for equipment, software, and subscriptions, plus technical knowledge to pull the hardware & software - and, also in this case, the physical distance between Devora and Grace.

the durge'zel arc has begun MUAHAHAHAHA to answer Dev's question about tieflings and devils being the same. well not exactly, tieflings were humans abducted by devils who interbreed with them, some are evil some are not, so not really the same as devils.

I love watching these streams! Dev'zel is doing absolutely fantastic! D&D can be tricky, but here are a couple ideas for the current party to give 'em an extra edge at the Githyanki Creche After-Party hehe. For Shadowheart, Lae'zel and Dev'zel, I think they just need some nice armor and you're pretty solid. Lae'zel and Dev'zel can both wear Heavy Armor without penalties and I think we might have a suit of enchanted Ringmail in the inventory/camp chest that would be nice for either of them. Shadowheart can wear Medium armor, so for her the Chainshirt, Scalemail, or Half Plate. That just leaves Astarion. He can only wear light armor, so the best for him is usually Leather or Studded Leather. But once they're all decked out with armor, they'll be much harder for the enemies to hit. Oh and for Astarion, he chose the feat "Charger" when we hit lvl 4. That's a fun feat for Fighter types, which improves Shove and helps prevent the characters from getting shoved by enemies, but it's also kinda tough for him specifically, since Astarion has low Strength (only 8) and shove uses a Strength ability check. He might have more fun with something that makes him extra sneaky, extra stabby, or even better with his ranged weapons. For all these an Ability Increase boost to Dexterity is pretty badass (it's the feat at the very top.) Dexterity is his main ability, so this will help him to be more accurate with his attacks and skills, better at picking locks or using stealth and such. It also raises his Armor Class (AC) which makes him even harder for enemies to hit. Thankfully that skeleton we met at the party, Withers, he can allow us to change feats for 100 gold! Woot! Super convenient! To do that you just click the "change class" dialog option (even if we want to end up being the same class) we can still use this to level him up again real quick to choose different feats - like that Ability Increase boost to Dexterity or something that will work nicely with a roguish archetype. Lvl 4 is a big power up, cause you only get to choose feats at level 4, 8 and lvl 12, so the choices there can make a big difference. Another cool feat for him would be "Alert" which makes it so he pretty much always goes first in the combat order, this gives him a really high initiative (like when combat first begins) so someone from your team will always start the fight, which is nice. "Mobility" makes it so he can move further in combat which is also cool. The feat "Sharpshooter" is pretty awesome as well if sniping from a distance with bows, but an Ability improvement to Dexterity will give the most bang for the buck I think, at the early levels for him. You can do the same thing at any point with the other characters too, to experiment around with Withers and find the right mix, that's the most fun for your playstyle. It's grand! Goodness I typed way too much there about feats hehe. Here's the cliff notes version... So when you get to that option to choose a feat, the first one on the list called "Ability Increase" that's probably the best all-around feat for most characters and for newer players to D&D. Whatever number is the highest there, you just keeping adding to that Ability to get it closer to 18 or 20 and you really can't go wrong. The highest number will be the character's main Ability, like the one that makes all their most important rolls better, so it works for pretty much every character.

Minthara is such an underrated character! She's got a good sense of humour, and she's one of the most interesting companions once she gets out from under the Absolute's control. Even in a 'Good ' playthrough I try my best to recruit her.

She also the only one who takes Dark Urge seriously if you tell her about your bloodlust, all other companions just brush it off as a normal thing, because "everyone has dark thoughts", but Minthara is the only one capable of understanding what you are trying to communicate.

But I was on a durge run and wanted to experience new content so I pushed through, and changed my mind. It was worth it! Minthara is a joy to experience, and she'll get even better when they patch up the issues.

I was playing a drow when I recruited Minthara, I had no qualms with siding with other drow on the surface, everyone else seemed to hate me because I was a drow, including the Tieflings. It still felt a little gross when you have those folks cornered with no weapons and you and Minthara slaughter them all LoL

@@Korksbebig agreed... evil isn't running around constantly killing looting pillaging raping and the like... that is only one flavor of evil.... Evil could be doing good deeds if it suits your interest, only for it to end up to your advantage at the end. Hannibal Lecter was Evil... but after his capture he only killed those that annoyed him, or was strategically advantageous to do so in order to facilitate his escape, or he had a vendetta against. to his mind, killing the guy who played bad in the symphony was considered a favor as it would make the orcastra better. In my evil campaign I strive to save the Tieflings because the Druids Pissed me off. So instead I took out the Druids in the Grove and showed favor to the Tieflings... Still killed Alfie, but that's a Whoopsie... and Kariach didn't like that upon meeting her, so... ah well had to kill her but.... win some lose some..

I love that Devora's intuitively playing the githyanki way, since they view all other races as inferior, very lore-friendly!. Anyway, I'm really glad Devora's doing the evil playthrough as I'd not enjoy playing that way, but I'm interested in what happens. Let's see what all this Minthara hype has been about! Bit of a shame Grace told Devora who left, or that people would leave at all - a save suggestion instead would've kept the surprise alive. That being said, Dev and Grace know way better how she wants to play so it's just a thought.
