So you carry your past with you, which determines your present circumstance and your future as well. The contradictions are obvious - on the one hand he says turn the other cheek and then he says he comes to bring a sword, to turn families against each other etc. Also he is no different from a load of other mythical God/Men from the same region and period - like Horus or Dionysus who were born of virgins, were crucified and resurrected and performed the same miracles. Who says the OT God was an aspect of anything? The Jews were polytheists for centuries before becoming monotheists.

There is no book of Jesus - unlike other religious leaders he never wrote anything down. There are NO contemporary accounts of his life - funny for someone who supposedly attracted great crowds of followers and performed miracles and upset the authorities so much that they murdered him. I don't know if other people existed either, but then they didn't claim to be the Son Of God. If he had such an important message why is it so mixed up and why not write it down himself?

at different points in history for different social and political reasons, what does the ego have to do with it? God cannot become angry because he doesn't exist. The God described in the OT becomes angry all the time - he even states that he is a jealous God and he commits many acts that today we would find immoral. Bronze age religious ideas should have nothing to do with todays world, they are dangerous and backward. Look at Islam today for example, dogma and oppression go hand in hand.
