I attended opening night of this tour in the crypt of St Martin-in-the-Fields in London. It was unforgettable. Fretwork and the Gesualdo Six were both stunning, and the event was very well imagined and organised. I have loved William Byrd all my life. He is not just a great English composer, but more like a perfect composer. As happens with Bach, listening to Byrd is like listening to eternity.

I pray that this will be made into an online viewing after the live tour is over for those of us who live nowhere near one of the tour venues. I would definitely pay to see this in any way. I have watched the trailer a dozen times, and I get chills when the knock comes. God bless.

An absolutely beautiful experience at Liverpool's Lutyens Crypt. As we entered we were instructed that it was a inclusive experience and encouraged us to walk around during the performance, although it felt weird when some people did that because the rest were so captivated. It was more than enough to just sit there and take it all in.

This could be incredible. I hope they've consulted liturgical historians. Rev. Dr. Anselm Gribbin, I.C.R.S.S. is the go-to expert for this era. There's a free pdf online called The Mass, Cranmer’s Liturgy and the English Reformation: A guide for students which would be a good start. Very exciting. Good move, Gesualdo!
