@KennyOfAllTrades this is the lake access of our cabin!! Our place is at the end of that road. I sure as heck bet that the local you spoke with was my family or our neighbors. Thanks for not sharing the location…we welcome people to enjoy this special place, but have had some issues with rowdy campers that leave big messes. The faces on the tree were painted by my grandpa that passed away. So neat to see others enjoy that! They are creepy looking though, lol!! Glad you enjoyed your stay!! Come back to visit!

Hey Kenny just a little tips to help you out while you're camping when I'm in my camper I burn a citronella candle which are cheap you can buy them any place for a dollar the dollar store even I have one burning in my camper and for Firestarter just take some cotton balls wipe a little bit of Vaseline on them put them in a sandwich bag and then take them with you and light one of those and it stops the fire right up hope those tips help keep on camping...

So I'm guessing "dispersed" is another descriptive word for boondocking or no utilities, as in no water, power, etc. You found a great spot and I don't blame you one bit for keeping it secret! That's exactly the kind of camping I'd like to do and, most importantly, away from people. Of course the bugs are sure giving you a run for the money! Another great video in the bag!
@KennyOfAllTrades2 жыл бұрын
Good question. I think if you were on BLM land setting up camp you would call it boondocking. The state forests and on public county land its called dispersed camping. Maybe it's because of the permanent fire rigs in place, I dint know? In my eyes it's all the same.

I've never gone to a butcher store and bought home made hot dogs but as long as they don't throw in all the chemicals and garbage that the commercial processed meat companies do, it would actually be a good product to eat. You certainly got lucky on that find as well as the buns and you cooked those hot dogs to perfection. I prefer or trust hamburger/ground beef for the reason that I know what it is, just beef and nothing else. One day we will see a fish in the frying pan over the fire that you caught .... right ? LOL.
@KennyOfAllTrades2 жыл бұрын
The way its going????? Maybe one day you will see a fish in the pan. No promises though. The crazy thing is I have been fishing since I was a small child. I've owned multiple boats, fish houses, even on a fishing league for years. I've caught thousands, literally thousands of fish. The camera comes on.....no fish. Lol I actually think it's funny.
@charlesb42672 жыл бұрын
@@KennyOfAllTrades Those fish in Minnesota's 10,000 + lakes must be very camera shy but you did actually catch a fish so all is not lost. Speaking of burgers, I have a feeling you have some fancy way you prepare ground beef for burgers and by all means do up some big mean burgers this summer over the fire on video with an over sized fresh home made style burger bun and all the fixings you do, even some bacon and special cheeses as examples, whatever is your specialty. At least no one will razz you for not having caught the steer !

Another excellent video and a great save after a bad start to the weekend. So I read a tip for skeeter bites the other day…Orajel…haven’t tried myself yet so can’t attest to it working. Btw did I make a comment somewhere last week regarding a KZbinr you should check out…Linnea & Akela?
@KennyOfAllTrades2 жыл бұрын
I'll check it out the channel. The Oregel is supposed to stop the itching? I thought about picking up some benadryl cream, or what ever the product is. It's funny you mentioned my smile. Mandi said the same thing when she watched the video. She said " Wow! It's the real Kenny on the camera" .
@mikegupguthrie-futurenomad78662 жыл бұрын
@@KennyOfAllTrades Yes, the Orajel is supposed to stop the itching. Makes sense, since it is a numbing agent for toothaches. The reason I mentioned the Linnea & Akela channel is because she is a full time KZbinr. I remember one of our first conversation where you said something about eventually earning money off KZbin so you could full time in your rig quicker. Check out Linnea & Akela Episode 3 - How I Became a Full Time KZbinr I thought some her tips might help you get there quicker. If I recall correctly, one tip was to put links of the products you use in your video descriptions. This helps you eventually (hopefully) land company product(s) sponsorship. Even if you don’t find this episode of interest…she’s not too bad on the old eyes lol

Ill check it out. Now that my daughter is moving out I thought about renting the house. That would help with the financials. It's definitely a dream of mine to go full time. I have a lot of living left to do, but honestly, the idea of doing the same thing I'm doing now until I'm old enough to collect retirement is crushing my soul. I go to work, go home, go to bed, go to work, go home, go to bed...rinse, recycle, repeat 5 days a week, and only escape the monotony Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully one day soon I can find the courage to make my own path.

@@KennyOfAllTrades Oh I hear you about the soul crushing!!! You are a lot closer to going full time than I am. I’ve become addicted to KZbin of late and can thank Taylor for it lol as well as you, Vic, Linnea and a few others. Ever since I saw a vid of his a few months ago I decided full time is where I want to be. However, for a few reasons, I am not able and ready to become a nomad. Since that first vid of his I have slowly become addicted to KZbin watching and learning as much as possible so when the day comes where I can break from monotony of rinse, wash, repeat, I’ll be ready. When the time is right for you, you’ll know it; the cards will fall into place in due time for you my friend…at least you have your foot halfway out the door
