Lovely intro and filming Kev... fabulous looking crag. I would imagine the flattened area below it was where the spoil tip was and over the years nature has reclaimed it... below you I am guessing might have been shale ? The auhority of most waterfalls in the South Wales Valleys (and beyond) is a gentleman by the name of Martin Ress. He has wriiten a few books compiling lists and if they have a name he will most likely know it. He is a BB warden and is on IG & Twitter. He's welsh speaking and will undoubly help you with anything re waterfalls/ pronounciations etc... I have found him to be most helpful. Loved the light on Graig Fawr as you stood there.. hope you got a shot of it I have walked in that area but not that immediate area - more northerly but know the area you parked I think. Also, if looking for camping spots someone else who knows the valleys very well is my mate Morgs - the guy I spoke to you about nefore. He has done a few overnigters in this area... he is currently on Day 11 of the Cambrian Way - he released the opening video today - he was meant to be doing the Haute route in Northern Spain but 3 days in had to abandon becuase of illness. atb Al

@@thevalleywalker cheers Al. I watched all of Morgs back catalogue of videos over winter, it's great seeing his trips abroad and all of the stuff more locally. This was a great walk, as impressive as most of the Beacons walks TBH. You get a real sense of scale as you walk beneath the crags. Got lucky with the light as the afternoon brightened up a bit.

Hiya Kev. I throughly enjoyed this one. I think you said only one person you saw all the time pn the walk. The waterfalls looked great and beautiful drone images. It must have been good because you said it's probably your favourite walk this year. Brilliant👌👍 Thanks for this one, makes me want to go😁👋

How long was that walk? Thinking of going with the kids but wondered how long it is...
@TheWalkingKev4 ай бұрын
@@lloydcozens9346 it's just over 3 miles, which includes me walking up onto the craggy outcrop to check on camping potential. I've just uploaded the route and all details to my website for you: thewalkingkev.co.uk/index.php/2024/07/18/the-secret-valley/
