Yeo jin is the only person he feels the most comfortable with and she is his soul mate in a sense. They don't need to be romantic because that would be disheartening for her as shi mok will never be able to express himself fully.

I wish they could be romantic though. Its clear si mok deep down loves her and respects her way in a way he'll never respect anyone else, but its all subconcious for him. I wonder if yeo jin at this point romantically likes him

@@racyk8579 tbh i agree. their relationship as close friends less than lovers kept the same degree of respect and mutual understanding. this set them aside from other kdrama pairing. they're perfect as they are but i still need season 3 to see them investigate together 😭😭
