The heretic's decapitation between 33 and 35 seconds is remarkably well-timed. Although they were beheaded by another space marine's weapon, it looks as if they were decapitated by the blunt end of the axe handle wielded by the space marine.

You're actually right. The Cultist tried to jump at the Marine with his sword, but he easily dodged his attack. Due to the placement of the weapon during his dodge, the Marine hit him in the back with the pommel of his Axe, which broke his skull and back.

You should check out WarhammerTV’s “Pariah Nexus” and “The Tithes”. I’m pretty sure the same studio animated them or at least some of the same people. Those two 3 episode shows depict the same speed of Astartes. They even show a Custodian moving noticeably faster than the space marines.

Ultramarines are great an all, but I would love to see some of the underrepresented chapters get some screen time. I would LOVE to see some Space Wolves or White Scars stuff. I'd kill to see something with Logan Grimnar.

Armored demigods fight smelly children. One of the details i love about this is that two of these guys have Iron halos. Literal energy shields. And they don't waste their energy turning them on to fight a tank. The astartes never even considered the cultists enough of a threat to bother. They were basically just playing with their food. It also rare to see someone depict ultramarines fighting with axes even tho its a super common weapon for the blue bois. Thirdly its nice to see someone show the absurd speed that space marines operate at. They can run at like 45 to 50 mph. Primaris are even faster.

For those who question it, this is why melee is so common in 40K. A weak finger can still pull the trigger on a big gun but a super soldier or Xenos monstrosity can completely overmatch a normal person if you’re in CQB. The lore doesn’t always depict it well though

Very rarely (animation)do we get to see the Speed and Strength difference of Space Marines against mere mortals. Swinging that axe around as if it weighs nothing despite it being the size of a human itself. Grabbing a man by the head and crushing it like a grape. It's heavily implied that the Bladeguard Sergeant is one of the Marines who oversaw Titus when he was just a Neophyte and chose him for selection to be a Space Marine. There's some names in the episode on data terminals so I'd go check it out.

The pistol he gets shot in the head with REALLY looks like a bolt pistol In which case he was probably actually, genuinely pissed when he headbutted him because there was an actual chance for the marine to die there

There was a chance, but it was unlikely due to this bolter being the smaller bolt pistol for normal humans, as well as the bolter generally not being very good against armor unless they use the more unique types of bolts, but the best chance for it was if he got the bolt right into the eye lens.

Thats one of the things I like about marines, in the grand scheme of things they are still very mortal. If that cultist had a krak grenade instead of a bolt pistol that would be one less marine to worry about, let alone if that turret had been able to traverse fast enough. They're riding that fine line every second where the situation is under control, but a single miscalculation will cause it all to go to shit. They're veterans, so they've learned to ride it well.
