Thats just how the life series goes, grand battles tend to leave a couple survivors, so the final battle is usually down to a duel. This season the finale definitely has some honorable mentions like Grians last trap that made Gem killable. (He took about 30 hearts off her and also hit the scotts) I think limited life had more big battles, probably because everyone had more lives. This season the lack of regen greatly discourages minor skirmishes because every bit of chip damage matters.

​​@@JarodCainIt's also worth mentioning that without Grian, Gem would probably have easily won this session. He did around 50 hearts to her this session (one trap that took around 8, one trap that took around 30, and a pvp battle that did another 12/13-ish (she had almost two rows, and he took her down to 5 before she killed him together with the Scotts). Don't get me wrong, Scar definitely earned the win. He was dealing Massiv damage in pvp, took fairly little damage, and somehow managed to be amicable with most groups even with his tasks. But at the same time, Gem was slaying for her first go at a full life series, and I don't think a good pvp-er with triple the health of her opponents will be beaten without coordination and ganging-up. And most of the ganging-up was with Gem, and not against Gem.

@@DyslecticAttack oh yeah absolutely, if gem survived for longer and maintained her hearts it would've been an easy sweep for her though the life series does tend to avoid big disadvantages for one player (examples being: joel constantly targetting scott since, objectively speaking, scott has the highest likelihood of survival out of everybody, grian going after gem, pearl choosing not to commit to the 1v1 against scar i.e you can clearly tell that pearl is holding back and doesnt really want to win twice in a row, team ties and the family in limited life were also heavily gunned after by the bad boys because of their huge number teams, the high life count people in last life were also heavily targeted such as scar and grian got 1v2ed by scar and bdubs in 3rd life because he had 2 lives while they had one and scott was distributing lives left right and center in limited life just because he had the most time) these are just the examples i can think of, i'm sure there's many more but yeah, it is very in tradition for the life series to go after people who have the highest likelihood of survival

​@@Banana_Banshee ​Right so I was going to make a small list of all the times he antagonized someone or refused to be a part of anyone’s group, but that ended up being way too much so here’s the first 2 sessions plus half of session 3 Episode 1 - "Hard" task “Can we raid and steal things?” trying to steal from bigB day 1- “Jimmy if you don’t bring back that camel I’ll burn down your house” Jimmy thought he gave him the camel, he gave it back willingly - There’s a whole bit here between Grian and Scar where he keeps trying to bend the rules and Grian says he was genuinely upset he let him get away with it. Let it be known the guy who runs the server doesn’t like Scar bending the rules Episode 2 - Pearl Hypeman Scams Jimmy - Turns down invitation to heart foundation and scams them out of their hearts - “You leave without a review I will strike you down” he says after they already agreed to leave a review - Tries to sell the book he promised to hold on for Jimmy multiple times Episode 3 - Take torches from 5 bases Mumbo says “I’m pro scar, I want us to have you around for a long time”, to which Scar tries to set him on fire… Scar discovers he left his camel with Pearl and declares he’s going to set her on fire, this was literally 1 episode after the hype man episode. Punches Impulse and Etho off of the diving board… Not a part of his task, SPEAKING of After he finishes his task, in front of a group of about half the server he declares he’s not giving the torches back and they’ll be on sale at Trader Scar’s… This was after learning people were angry he took half a heart from both Impulse and Etho. He had already turned in his task, there was no secret compelling him to do this, but he did it anyways In conclusion, he was never looking for people to team with, he was always antagonizing, and he only started blaming the secret keeper when it was convenient to do so

What an adventure of an episode. Not wanting to win, but to let one of her friends win and for her to, at best, be second. Loses the two mounder allies she has left, but still has a newfound ally in scar. Makes a new vow to let scar win and for him to kill her. They become the last two remaining players. Has golden apples, chooses not to use them. Fair play! I was rooting for you all the way, and this is (kinda) the way you wanted it to go. Way to go Pearl!

I can I actually agree with that it would be amazing- but if I'm gonna be honest, I have been wanting Scar to win since Last life (since he basically had no friends there) and since Double life (Since Grian had out such heavy restrains on what he could or couldn't do) it felt so deserved and right for me to see him finally win. And oh my god was it ADORABLE!! Like, how Grian had to tell him im chat that he won because he couldn't believe it or that he couldn't believe it until he went back to the secret keeper for the last time... It was so adorable I honestly cryed ;D

This was such a great series and I always love watching Pearl (I’ll be honesty she’s probably my favourite). I’m sad to see that a mounder didn’t win, but the reconnection with Scar and his win was amazing. I’m very happy for Scar, he deserves this win for all the trouble he was forced to cause as the forced villain of the server. Also that man went on a rampage and killed like 4-5 people this episode. Can’t wait to see you all again for the next instalment, and again, Pearl you did amazing and should be very proud of yourself

I went to pearls video first because I expected her to win. My top 5 other players to win were scar, Etho, Cleo, Gem and Scott in no particular order. I did expect both gem and Pearl to abandon their alliances and team up, and have to 1v1 at the end. Happy to see scar win though, thought he had a good shot from quite early in the series after surviving the first few episodes without losing many hearts, and it feels like an awesome callback to S1 to see him win. My Favorite moment of the episode was Pearl in the woods with her dogs, as she realized her Mounders were all dead.

To be fair, it wasn't simply fall damage, Scar's arrow hit you mid-jump and made you fall over This was an amazing POV, Pearl!! Too bad mounders weren't able to get a win but it was still fun! Also aa someone who wished for your and Scar's alliance for a long time, I really enjoyed that ending! lol Thank you for being awesome, I'll be waiting for your next endeavors!

She was willing to throw her life so he could have extra hearts but he said he has wronged her so much this season, he wasn't taking that route. Good on him. This was more enjoyable. Gem probably would have won if they eliminated Scar or Pearl first .
