I'm confused. I always thought I was purely straight and only liked guys, mainly due to the social pressure to conform to the tradition of falling in love marrying a man and starting a family with him, but now I wonder whether or not I was only doing this to imitate what all my friends/acquaintances were doing rather than following my own heart. I've had crushes, but nothing serious or reciprocal that culminated in an actual relationship with a guy, and I have never had sex with or even been kissed by a guy either. I always thought that was a bit weird, considering that I am 23 years old and have never been in a real romantic relationship with anyone. Some may say I am picky, but others would say I struggle to become as infatuated with people as I used to due to being hurt, misunderstood, or rejected by the wrong people too many times. I used to quickly become infatuated with people if I connected with them emotionally or had a good, meaningful conversation with them, but I suppose I let my guard down too easily and became to vulnerable unintentionally in the process. As for girls, I have never had a serious crush on one (perhaps out of fear of what might happen or of people finding it "gross" or "unnatural"- I once had a girl in high school state that my liking girls just as she did would feel "disgusting" to her), but I have found girls attractive before though and prefer lesbian porn over straight porn (I know, too forward...). I feel I could be romantically attracted both to men and women equally though, so long as there is a mutual attraction and emotional connection between us. I would never have sex with someone unless I seriously and genuinely liked them or felt connected to them emotionally, in addition to trusting them with my heart, and prefer the idea of cuddling or making love to someone to having intercourse purely as a physical act. Communication is also important to me and I want my partner to not only love and care for me romantically, but also be my best friend. I don't know what my sexuality is anymore. I still find guys attractive and have crushes on some of them, but wouldn't be averse to the idea of being in a relationship with a girl either so long as we had a strong, solid bond and connection. I don't know anything anymore. Maybe I am bisexual, or a biromantic demisexual? Or maybe I am gay? I'm not sure what my true sexuality is because again, I have never kissed, held hands with, or been with anyone sexually or romantically, so I don't have any past experiences to compare them to.
