Project 1794 is from the early 50's, by the United States Air Force and AVRO Aircraft. It used to be secret, but in 2012 the information has been declassified. I was really hyped when I found these two reports online at the National Archives, placed a link on my IFO site so that others could find it, but it didn't really get picked up. Kind of understand why: on the National Archives these pictures are not that easy to view, and they didn't color correct the scans. The video I made here is in 4K, so you can read all the pages clearly. (more than 200 pages!)
So yes; a flying saucer! This was serious research, about how to build a real flying saucer, not a UFO of course, but disc shaped aircraft called: Silverbug, Y-2, and the prototype P.V. 704.
They were designed to be VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) fly supersonic and at extremely high altitudes. Up to Mach 3+ and a 100,000 feet.
These specifications are not of a jet fighter. When flying this high and fast, think instead of what has been build in the 60's: the Lockheed SR-71 "Blackbird".
The 2 original reports can be found at "the National Archives".

The main character of this story is John Carver Meadows Frost, a man who's work has been a great inspiration to me, for his many way-out-there aircraft designs. He for example is also the father of the AVRO car.
But yea: Silverbug has never flown? Is that really so?
One of the clearest UFO photos ever made, shows a disc shaped flying something that looks remarkably similar to the designs in Project 1794. These photos were taken by Photographer Ed Keffel and reporter João Martins. They spotted this UFO at Barra da Tijuca, Brazil, on May the 7th 1952.
So; the UFO photos are from 1952, and these final reports are from 1956 and 1957...
If any of you happen to go visit area 51, you may find the Silverbug craft there.
Please make some good photos, that would be awesome!

apparently the engineers that worked directly with the craft were so scared of it sending debris out (at supersonic speed), that the project heads had to order a protective barrier to surround the craft during live testing! Yes finally! Project 1794 is from the early 50's, and these 2 reports have been declassified in 2012. That is 56 YEARS AFTER the Project 1794's Final Development Summary Report. Not much has to or can stay secret for soo long! Though the details were secret, project 1794 was not unknown. The program was canceled in 1961. "In September 2012, Michael Rhodes, a technician at the National Declassification Center (NDC) in College Park, Md., donned white cotton gloves, entered a climate-controlled room, and opened a cardboard file box. soon realized that the file box contained highly unusual material." Sources: www.popularmechanics.com/military/a8699/declassified-americas-secret-flying-saucer-15075926/ declassification.blogs.archives.gov/2012/09/20/how-to-build-a-flying-saucer/ I had a copy of all the reports pages on my computer for many years, from soon after it got online at the National Archives. It is quite incredible right? To find so much information about such an incredible design that has been a secret for some 62 years. And thus strange that it didn't get much attention, especially on KZbin. This is the closest whe have ever been to making a real flying saucer. That by the way is not the goal (not the goal to make something looking like a UFO), the reasons to go disc shaped are: large surface (for flying high where the air is thin), low air resistance (small frontal surface, extremely thin wing profile), large inner space, and a very strong structure.

Giesbert, you mention the "Storm Area 51" event in this video - are you familiar with Bob Lazar's story? The creator of the SA51 event has said that he was inspired by Bob Lazar's recent appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience. Project 1974 would be a great RC airplane project, although I can't think of an RC design more challenging...

Yes, I mentioned the upcoming "Storm Area 51" event, September 20th 2019. What will happen that day? I hope that no one gets hurt. If this area is kind of what we think it is, I would not be surprised if there are more developed versions of Project 1794 stored there, under a cover of dust. This Project 1794 stuff is real! I personally don't expect anything alien, but who knows. Bob Lazar's story... yes I know about that, but all that talk makes me dizzy, would like see something real. To make a RC version of Project, that would be fun! And indeed challenging, especially its stability. Not just a quadcopter within a disc, that would be lame. Anyone up for this challenge?!

@@Trebseig I was very disappointed when the mass production Millennium Falcon was a quadcopter with a shroud, and I share your sentiment for wanting a hypothetical Project 1794 to be made as close to scale as possible, especially with the propulsion system being some sort of airjet - not a multirotor. I think Bob's story is compelling but I only really care if there is something in there that helps with replicating the technology. I'm currently more interested in replicating Joseph Newman's machine. There are a few videos on my channel right now, and I'll be publishing more soon.

Hi Giesbert I want to know your thoughts about the true shape of what is a magnetic field. Is it a single torus? A double torus? Torus = vortex ring What do you think of the analogy between vortex ring/ magn field and hurricanes (embeded hot and cold vortices)? Thank you
@Trebseig
@Trebseig 4 жыл бұрын
Well; a single torus. If it be a double torus (stuck together) then you would have 2 north poles and one south pole around the middle, or the other way around (I don't know if the N or the Z side sucks). Vortex rings are intriguing! The analogy between these 3? Hmm: a vortex ring in air is a thing of motion. I don't know if magnetic field is in motion.. it has a similar shape but it doesn't seem to move, nor does it lose energy over time. I see a magnetic field as a static distortion of space. A hurricane is a vortex between 2 surfaces, not in a ring. The vortex ring is quite off topic here. I made a video about a Double Toroidal Vortex Based Particle, here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3nSYq2lrdJ0oa8

0:41 keep in mind this is all rocket fuel around the pilot. If it would explode he would completely vaporize by definition. Another thing is that a lot of the projects from that time had projected/estimated claims of reaching way over mach 2 which didn't survive the tests. For example kingfish project was supposed to fly up to mach10! in 1950s they claimed to create the plane that we saw in top gun 2. Despite king fish design being passed to cia (if I am not mistaken), the original base project was cancelled for the blackbird design. They did however test using nuclear engines on a plane so it led to a speculation that in 1960 an fish/egg shaped plane with nuclear propulsion was produced that somehow behaves like the ufos but that is just a speculation. There was a nice documentary supplement to the grusch interview where they did speculate on some of the people involved but truth is even if the technology defying physics as we know it is true then it is unlikely it was anything like the speculated tech. Some people suspect the so called ion drift/thrust but its just a speculation. 1794 was despite the shape still a conventional project. Round shapes were still an idea developed by convair in the sixties for the anti rocket countermeasures (being itself also a round shaped drone/rocket) but despite ending in another proposal of a space reentry circular shaped craft the conventional saucer niche ended between 60 and the 70s

There is an interesting design of aircraft, but they rarely talk about it, because this thing is secret. The topic of pulsed plasma thrusters has been developed since the early 60s (see PPT - Pulsed plasma thruster) - they are usually designed for spacecraft. But we will talk about a little-known design - these are plasma propulsion panels for aircraft, where the same Pulsed plasma thruster, but reduced to the size of a pencil and stacked in the form of cells in the panel. The design resembles a conventional plasma TV screen, where there are also discharge cells that activate the glow of pixels on the screen. And plasma propulsion panels have long discharge cells, the arrester has a railgun architecture (just rail contacts or coaxial), and the ionized discharge air is accelerated there by the Lorentz force to enormous speeds - a kind of ramjet engine is obtained. Just imagine! - tens of thousands of small ramjet engines assembled in a panel and firing plasma synchronously with a huge frequency (hundreds of kilohertz). Thus, plasma propulsion panels create lift by pulsed emission of plasma jets from railgun cells. There are tens of thousands of cells in the panel, they shoot at a frequency of hundreds of kilohertz, a huge pulse is obtained, and the plasma swirls the air into toroidal rings - the aircraft is held on this air cushion. Horizontal acceleration is created by the same plasma panels on the sides of the device (they glow, from the side they look like "portholes"). Such devices like "triangle" or "disk" have been observed for a long time, they are mistaken for alien ones - but these are terrestrial devices. They are classified and used for espionage and secret actions. Pulsed electromagnetic technology generates microwave radiation, therefore it is harmful to health. They rarely fly - only military missions. Therefore, they are not suitable for a citizen. This maintained the secrecy. Now they are already declassifying - many people know about this secret technique. When declassified, they will be used for cargo airships. But there is a danger that they are now going to be adapted to deliver small nuclear charges to decision-making centers - such means of delivery are not specified anywhere, are not conventional. This lowers the threshold for starting a war. It would be necessary to declassify them as soon as possible. That's why I'm writing about it. However, I have written before - starting with the book "The Elimination of UFOs" and many articles. There are also videos on my KZbin channel - "Declassified UFO" and "UFO Anatomy".🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮

Check out Jean-Pierre Petit PhD interview in Prague here on KZbin. He explains how to construct a spiral or toroidal vortex flow around magnetohydrodynamic aerodynes shaped like discs, sphere and cylinders or wings. They can exceed Mach 1 without making a sonic boom, by accelerating and decelerating air plasma around the frame using the electromagnetic (ExB) force, and increasing the speed of sound in the plasma by both heating and the long range EM forces transmitting force at near the speed of light. There are several plasma airspike designs that you can find images of wind tunnels tests where it has blunted or eliminated the sonic boom up to Mach 2. Thomas Townsend Brown's designs for disc shaped asymmetrical capacitor thrusters would have also had this desirable low drag effect, and if you could see the ions and electrons moving around it, you would likely see Birkeland currents forming the vortex.

Hi, if you draw inspiration from Einstein's Philadelphia Experiment that is an introduction to harnessing ufo technology well at least the early stages of development. The problem was at the time was steering the technology which seemed to have gotten away from the experimenters and not using humans was there biggest downfall. If the documented technology can be restarted I am sure more improvements can be made. Underground in Aera 51 is a huge hangar which has an array of captured or found ufo's which offer a delight of possible development capabilities however advanced the technology is. If the American government was more open to civilian know how I am sure more knowledge can open up the ufo technology debate, its a very interesting area which has been secreted away from the general public whom in my opinion are more intelligent than the scientific research team assigned to it.

I identify that UFO as equal to the designs in project 1794, both from the early 50's, but I can not proof it. Project 1794 was real, the proof is in this video. There were only designs? I don't really believe that. I can believe they didn't fly up to expectations, and the project was canceled, with a bit of shame. No aliens, no anti gravity, just a very fascinating secret military project. Who has proof of them being build, flown, and flown in Brazil? Leave a comment!

@@Trebseig The Brazil photos have been generally been dismissed as fakes based on conflicts in lighting directions between the shadows on the landscape and the angle of light on the sky object. But there is still room for alternate thoughts about the supposed lighting conflict.

Putting jet engines on such a geometry would have been waste. Jet engines are not efficient for air propulsion considering the BTUs they waste . There are other thermodynamic transformers that are the perfect prime mover engines for such a construction, as in addition by their design construction (out of the box ) provide the gyroscopic effect for the stability of the object. Look for combination of Tesla turbine in conjunction with Tesla pump, one is the prime move the other propeller.

Any jet engine from the early 50's is fuel inefficient compared to today's, and even today's jet engines are terrible fuel inefficient if you use them for VTOL thrust. But look at the bigger picture: The aircrafts from Project 1794 were ment to do this: A - VTOL or STOL take-off (thus no runway and no heavy landing gear) B - climb steep to extremely high altitudes (main reason for the large disc surface) C - accelerate to supersonic, to just beyond Mach 3 (and getting ram air in the air intake) There is a lot going on. The 6 viper jets may have had a relative good power to weight ratio (I am not sure), which can be more fuel efficient than having heavy fuel efficient jets. These jets in some designs are used to drive a large central fan -increasing efficiency. And when at supersonic cruise speed, they enjoy ram compressed air. And because these jets are in wing-body, they do not give any air resistance. The gyroscopic effect of 6 jet engines wil certainly help with stability. Personally, I guess that Project 1794's biggest problem was stability, and that much of what they learned from Project 1794 could be applied to the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird. You suggest using the Tesla turbine/compressor. Maybe useful. I can imagine John Carver Meadows Frost has considered that, as he could clearly think far out of the box.

"Jet engines are not efficient for air propulsion considering the BTUs they waste" Excluding novelty engines which are not mass-produced, jet engines (specifically turbofan-style) are the most thermally efficient engines in production. Tesla turbines are cool and all but you still need something to spin them - they are not prime movers. "There are other thermodynamic transformers that are the perfect prime mover engines for such a construction." Can you name some of these?

I can put a jet engine in my VCR or TV and apply for a patent and make wild claims about its function but that doesn't mean it'll fly. Same thing with a hubcap you can add a jet engine to it and make wild claims about its function. But seriously 6 jet engines in a vehicle that initially creates no lift and needs lift just to carry that much weight seems outrageous. And if it created lift you wouldn't need 6 engines, one or 2 would be enough. And stability. Stability against what?. Is it flying or levitating.

Today, the design exists... but it doesn't look like this, it can outmaneuver ordinary aircraft, but it can't do what a UFO can do, so there is no risk that you can confuse them for each other in the air if you know something about aeronautics, physics and propulsion systems. So no, this does not... solve the ufo question, sorry...
