Top three playsets of my childhood: greyskull, Death Star and gi joe mummy’s tomb

Now this IS a blast from the past. Ten-year-old me had one of these “G.I.Joes with lifelike hair”. It was truth in advertising, as he started going BALD after a year or so! I never got these “adventure packs”…but I DID get a few extra (and unlicensed) UNIFORM packs from the local drug store. As you said, the public's anti war sentiment in the early ‘70s turned Hasbro’s “Joe” into a generic adventurer…but dressing him in these unlicensed-and-unauthorized uniforms (probably from Hong Kong) turned him back into a SOLDIER!

No they’ll give us Karate Grip and call it Kung Fu Grip to get back at Jackie Chan.

Had the Joe set with the mummy, I thought it was a child mummy. I liked the antiquing color as that was rarely done then.
