A note from a Pyke main: If you are low elo enough, you see the enemy jungler coming in for a gank (around level 4-5) pull back to turret (you can bait them in by letting them burst you to about 20% hp or so) hook backwards e into turret auto ignite for a free kill. (midlane btw). If the enemy jungler is Yi, even better. Once, he was sitting in left side mid bush, I simply walked into the bush (fake facecheck) waited till he q'd then e flashed towards turret. He was stunned under turret, and not even flash could save him.

Yeah and in bronze even if you'er full hp you can bait them or if your adc died you can bait the supp, they don't expect the hook

The thing about Pyke mid which must make it hard is his worse waveclear than other assassins-- his E doesn't even dmg minions and his Q is single target, so if you get behind in lane then it must be even harder to come back compared to other assassins. But I guess you can hard roam and can still always make plays with your CC.

This guy is good yes, but even his runes can be improved. By going second wind and unflinching you got more sustain and tenacity which helps against good players instead of the ms since you already get alot from the lethality scaling on your W. Also after a trade you should let your d shield (assuming you start it) heal first before using your passive healing to maximize it.

let me tell you that in many clips on the roam the enemies seem stupid enough to sit high on lane while they know pyke is near cause of w sings on champs. also we see that the enemies do not get the warning sharks from pykes w .pyke has the worst camouflage in the game cause enemies know when he is near

you need to track down flashes and dashes pretty much all the time. enemies like galeforce adc's, sylas, lucian and all w/ flashes tend to flash backwards when you try to ult them. so when i go for a fight, i always ult someone on cc, or i aim for the back to cover the flash. it really comes with the experience, i cannot say much about it. you will learn positioning your ult. anyway cheers bro.
