I personally think she's flagged as undead by the game that way players can't use healing spells to res her and mess up the storyline. Froki is a very important character in Skyrim. He's just so damn hard to find for most players who don't already know where he is. He explains the discrepancy in Skyrim's religion from what was described in previous games. Everyone knows his grandson Haming from the game's intro, and no doubt a lot of people have come across his bow and got annoyed that they couldn't drop it. He is one of my favorite characters simply because of the potential of him just existing creates. If the Thalmor have another go at Hammerfell when Haming is a grown man, he should be incentivized to go there. He could be what Ulfric failed to be. A wielder of the thu'um and defender of Shor's creation.

Considering this was mostly DLC related scenes, it gives me some extra appreciation for the base game interactions, considering I was a PS3 preferential guy, so Microsoft buying exclusivity means I've never finished any of the DLC, before the PS4 Pro version came out. Xbox360 had a bad habit of giving your discs a nice engraving if they console received any shock, vibration or sudden movement. So having 2 dogs at the time, it wrecked all my 360 games before anything really came out besides GTA IV, and all my friends played PSN MW2 anyways back then. But the fact that I played through vanilla Skyrim with every race, showed the depth of logic in the code (assuming, "it just works!" that day) With Argonian being my first, it was wild how Dunmer sympathized with how Morrowind treated Argonians; after getting the same treatment in Windhelm. Orcs, as an Orc would just let me in to do Volendrung quest right off the jump. Breton, being treated with a level of fear/caution in the Reach, Khajit actually talking to me while playing as one, Nord's getting red carpet treatment across 95% of the map, Redguard being treated like the "N'Wahs” of Skyrim because of how few there are, Thalmor not batting an eye if you're playing an Altmer, and being passive aggressively condescending to Bosmer. Imperials being a total waste of a playthrough unless you just did the Legion Civil War quests. So much more, but all in the base game, was truly incredible at the time. Shame that Bethesda and Todd just dropped a magnum opus level development, and immediately sunk into complacency. Just trying to use the same engine and format for every game thereafter. Fallout 4 was enjoyable but just lacked the old magic of 3 and NV, because it was basically Skyrim with guns. VATS, and Critical hits ceased to exist the way they once were. No longer RNG and Luck Stat dependent. Half-baked voiced protag, had potential but wasn't polished as much as say the Greet-Greet-Antagonize Dialog in RDR2, which is what they were aiming for, but just implemented it poorly.
