I love this video & soap. I was able to do this for a totoro stamped oatmeal honey soap. I reid this again in a tall skinny small mold & Should have watched this first again. I didn't quite get what I wanted but it still was pretty for my goat milk beer soap. Thank you for sharing!

This is so beautiful! Where can you find green indigo?
@hollysoapmaking7 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The place I purchased mine has gone out of business. But oat straw and nettle leaf powders each produce similar green colors and seem to be easier to find.

Thanks for sharing the video, it's a great technique. The soap is amazing! After how long did you unmould the soap?
@hollysoapmaking7 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! I let this batch sit covered for a couple of days to prevent any ash forming on top. It was still slightly soft when I unmolded and removed the paper, so I let it sit for another 4 hours until the corners were harder. I will normally unmold & unwrap my softer soaps (very carefully) and allow them to dry a bit longer before cutting. If the liner paper pulls the sides, I just wet a papertowel with distilled water and wipe the sides smooth. Thanks for asking!

Amazing. Your designs are the best I've seen. Creatively beautiful. How long do you let your soap set before unmolding?
@hollysoapmaking7 жыл бұрын
+Valisha Saadiq Thank you! I usually try to keep them covered for at least 24 hours just to avoid soda ash on top. If the soap is still soft, I will open the mold at 24 hours and then allow it to sit for a few more (just until I know it won’t dent or anything when I touch it). Thanks for asking!
