I highly respect Conan. He interacts with his staff giving them a moment in his show. No matter the title they may have. He makes everyone feel like they are truly part of the team and a very important part of the show. That's something that not a lot of public figures dare to show their interactions with their employees right on the spot. He puts himself in some situations no matter how unprofessional they are. But I get it. He is the opposite of many others. He is very weird and awkward in front of the camera But always at the end, he thanks them for their contribution to the show and recognizes them, and treats them like human beings and not numbers. I think she was going to pull back and break the hug, so she wouldn't be a creep, but he pulled her closer to let her know it was cool. That was super empathetic of him. He could tell she was just trying to be polite and cool and not over do it on national television but Jon was like, "Nah, we both know this isn't something that you get to do all the time, I'm gonna make sure it's as good an experience as I can make it." He seems like a super awesome dude from all I've heard about him. He doesn't take himself too seriously and doesn't think he's God's gift to the universe like some attractive male and female actors do. It was also hugely sweet of Conan to use his connections to make an employee that happy. It's one of the most heartwarming things I have seen.

I did some PA work on the show that Jon Hamm was a regular on before he really broke out famous (the Lifetime series "The Division") he was absurdly kind to everyone on the crew, I've been so pleased but frankly not really that surprised to see his major super stardom over the years has not warped that sensibility at all. He's still the same guy.
