The runaway winner of our 'Esoteric' poll, Secret Symbols of the Rosicrucians is a work published between 1785 and 1788 and is widely considered second only in importance to the original Manifestos in the Rosicrucian tradition.

Good introduction to this very important Rosicrucian work. You captured the importance of humility for the beginning Rosicrucian student in your selection of excerpts. In fact, the importance of humility is even carried over in the higher grades of the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC. In the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC 's official membership manual it is stated (I may be partially paraphrasing because this is from memory): "The highest and greatest among us is but a child of the mysteries and unworthy of Rosicrucian recognition. Proclaim yourself not as a Master, but as a Student, and ever a Student eternally".

Thank you for sharing. A few things i have discovered in my research, which may interest some of you are as follows. Rosicrucians, sometime referred to as brothers of the rosy cross. Rostau is the ancient name of the Giza plateau/great pyramid. Rostau can be interpreted as rose cross. Rostau read backwards is near enough Stauros, an ancient greek work meaning pilar or crucifix… Rostau can also be interpreted as bull mountain. Now do a google search on Apis (deity) wikipedia,s entry is sufficient. Apis is the ancient egyptian name for a sacred bull. The symbol for the apis deity is one of the oldest symbols known to man. the double chevron…. Take note of the symbol from the wikipedia page. now search for pictures of the entrance to the great pyramid… Note the exact same symbol hiding in plain site for all with eyes to see. interestingly the kings chamber and the sarcophagus of the great pyramid are made from rose Granite…. It’s my humble opinion that the rosicrucians are the guardians of the ancient pre flood wisdom that was left for us by our ancestress. This wisdom was set in stone in the dimensions of the great pyramid using the only timeless universal language. Mathematics and geometry.

Rostau can also make the word Tauros sounding the same as the word for the star sign taurus. The Heirophant card from the tarot deck is ruled by Taurus and is the initiator or teacher of the mysteries. I recommend reading up further on the characteristics of the Heirophant card. Those of you familiar with Royal arch FM symbolism should find further connections with a bit of digging. Regarding the apis deity i mentioned in my last comment, do a search for pictures of Egyptian apis deity statues. I found several with triangle/pyramid shapes on the forehead, and also a sun disc/aura around the head like Jesus. The crown of thorns that Jesus Donned when he was crucified could also be associated with roses and there thorns… Rose thorns on his head… mounted on a cross…. Rosy cross….. I think it’s very likely Jesus was an initiate of the mystery’s. This is a fascinating subject and i am interested to hear your thoughts. Thanks again.

I'd be interested to know how - I don't get that impression. I pay my subscription and get my monographs, and rentals on rooms where we meet (there aren't any Rosicrucian owned properties where I live), so I don't see where this "concern over making money" comes from. Perhaps people just want everything for free? I get there's a lot of their philosophies and teachings out there, but the practice and the networking definitely isn't.

@@justintodd9165 Again, that's not the impression I get. And they certainly are not fraudulent - I've received everything promised, and more. I believe every other Rosicrucian Order would charge for membership, so not sure what you're trying to say to be honest. Nothing is free, and I feel I get my moneys-worth. There are plenty of advantages to being part of them.
