Your cottage is progressing really nicely. I do like the bare bricks at the bottom of the stairs: 'Very minimalist. Pink bedside tables would be more stand-outish, more in-your-face, but fashionable. White/cream would be a synchronisation with the existing colour scheme, making the bedside tables less noticeable. Awesome work with the furniture. 'Love the kitchen. The 'boring beige' should sync well. Esme, paint your cupboards. :)

I think for your boots you should put little shelves on the wall that they were in front of but have one shelf per pair of boots if that makes sense. Then you can place the shelves were they look best and the boots on any shelf that you think looks good. Also I think you should paint your bedside table white so if you change your throws or bedsheets it doesn’t look out of place, but it’s up to you since your living there. 😊

another option for your bedside tables- paint them a similar colour to your wardrobe doors or a blueish/duck egg to tie in with the cushions and make them a focal point!

I love the pictures of nature. I have them in my house. I would use those. The beach pics are nice but loads of people have them for that reason. ❤ Do pink!! It will warm it up. And then get more artwork for the walls. Maybe fairy lights for the wooden beams.

Yes, do paint the wall cupboards, Navy would be a bold color, and tan/beige a safe neutral color that you can change the moods with different accent colors and bits and bobs. Depends on the color of the knobs. You have narrowed it down to two colors, good for you. I bet your family is glad they don't have to move any more heavy/large furniture! The cottage is looking great! love the blinds and solar powered too.
