Hi, I am from Croatia! So, I could say this is an interesting documentary from which I have learnt a lot of information I didn´t know before. But I noticed that at 3:55-4:05 both Kingdom of Yugoslavia and Independent State of Croatia are drafted in the false borders. Namely, Kingdom of Yugoslavia was not in the same borders as later Socialist Yugoslavia because between the two world wars Italy possessed the western parts of Slovenia; the Istria peninsula; the islands of Cres, Lošinj, Lastovo and Palagruža and the town of Zadar. Later, Independent State of Croatia, which was a puppet state of Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy, gave the majority of the Croatian coastline to Italy including almost all islands. So, the fact that Croatia today has a long and wonderful coastline is the result of antifascist struggle which was fought by the Yugoslav partisans.

"The question was:Could they fight?" In 1943?! They've been fighting for two years already. This documentary is not very well researched.

Fitzroy Maclean is one of the rare Conservative MPs I have total respect for. This video tells part of the story given in his autobiographical work 'Eastern Approaches', which I first read 50 years ago and have re-read several times since. Maclean's solo travels on Soviet central Asia are remarkable. He was usually shadowed by an NKVD officer or two, and on one occasion he made friends with a local one who took him home to see his family. His chilling account of the the trial of Bukharin et al is a primary historical source - as is his story of the founding and early days of the SAS. He prefaced his account of the Balkan campaign with a short history of Yugoslavia which helps underline Tito's achievement and make sense of subsequent events there. The book is still in print - I strongly recommend it!
