One thing that always struck me about this issue is the cover art. It is on another level to most anything that was out at the time. A battle-ravaged Doom facing off against a "behind-the-camera" Beyonder. The detail was astounding. By the by, the Beyonder really did slice half of Doom up in disection. It specifically mentions keeping the other half intact for comparison, and Doom's reaction when he regains consciousness. Which highlights Doom's resolve to an even greater height.

I love your recap of this miniseries, but as a Dr. Doom fan, I feel like you glossed over his battle with the beyonder. Especially with how Doom actually took him out. That sequence was probably the most impactful. Seeing Doom’s hubris getting him wrecked and literally peeled apart was amazing. (I can’t say amazing without hearing it in your voice, lol) Anyway, enjoying the channel!

It was Parker's personality though that affected the symbiote more than the symbiote affected Parker's personality in the end. Thus, Peter, he was never Venom.

Ive never heard Terrorists described as an army. A big army has to follow the Geneva conventions and terrorists do not. Terrorists can ignore the human rights of POWs. They can target and kill civilians on purpose. They can torture prisoners. They can fight on battlefields without their allegiance visible. The little army is still an army that has to follow the Geneva Conventions too. If anyone thinks Wolverine's quote is deep or meaningful, they probably dont understand what terrorism is.

The smaller army is usually a result of the people reacting to the big army stealing their ressources, but no matter how rightious the small army is, it will always be viewed as terrorists because the big army is in control of media and the big army is the one favorable in international community thanks to their common interests policies

This blew my mind as a teen fervently reading the compilation book in my local library. Doom became one of my most favourite characters, because of how he saw beyond everyone, and fought for power. That scene where he tries to explain the power after he absorbed it, literally changed me.

I always felt that the Symbiote was just that. A Symbiote. It only became known as the "Venom Symbiote" after attaching itself to Eddie Brock.

Rob - Love all your Doctor Doom videos. Will you please do a video discussing his return to being Doctor Doom post Infamous Iron Man? Would love to hear your thoughts. I know it happened back in 2018, and you did a video covering the return of the Fantastic Four but you didn't mention the turn Doctor Doom took, after his last battle - which was awfully sad given all the progress his character had made. In some ways, it reminded me a lot of Magneto. He makes a huge step forward with doing the right thing, and then due to circumstances beyond his control, he ends up taking two steps backwards towards where he started. These poor villains trying to be good people can't win for losing. Love your channel.

Before Spiderman, the symbiote did not consider itself venom. It took the name venom, using Eddie Brock's desire for revenge to fuel him, to become a poison for Peter Parker, a spiders venom for Spiderman. Before Spiderman, venom could not shoot web, nor could he conceal himself from Spiderman's spidersense. With your logic, you may as well call Carnage, venom 2 because he came from the venom symbiote. The proper terminology is "symbiote suite Spiderman" or "black suit Spiderman".

The amount of people agreeing with Wolverine's point here is genuinely disturbing. Terrorism has a very specific definition, and it's _not_ "small army vs. big army", it's "small army vs. civilians". You would have to be an actual, honest-to-God psychopath to think that the ends justify the means. There is no such thing as doing evil to create good. There is no such thing as murdering innocent people to obtain peace. War has rules, and those rules are based on what is just and what is unjust. Murder is unjust. Period.

The symbiote became Venom after bonding to Eddie Brock only then, "From now on were poison to you Spiderman that's why we call ourselves Venom!" Thus Venom was born.

@@dragonleo2009 Okay. In the first issue of secret wars, doom tried invade the beyonder's portal but failed. But his armor's computers analyzed the beyonder's energy. So doom used part of galatus' ship to build a device into his armor that would steal the beyonder's power. When the beyonder was disecting doom, he got close enough for doom to set the device off. And god doom was born.
