I have a private sponsor for the American Welcom Corps program. After a year of waiting for the start of the program, unfortunately, Turkey was included in the list of restrictions of this program. We do not know the reason for this. We are in danger mentally and physically and we are unable to continue in these conditions. Please help us to solve the problem of the reason for this restriction and remove the name of the country Turkey from this list of restrictions so that we can apply for this program. This is a wonderful thing! However, who is paying for this? Our senior citizens? Those who were born here who’ve worked so hard -for not very much- to feed themselves and their families? It would seem like it. I am in NO way saying that these poor people fleeing war, persecution and murder don’t have the right to be here.. but why does our government take so much from people who’ve fought to hold up this country? We always hear politicians speak out for refugees, children, families…. What about the rest of the good people that NEVER get mentioned ( ie) senior citizens, single persons or veterans, those suffering from addictions etc ? I’ve never once heard ANY politician mention these groups with true devotion … people no matter where they are from, never deserve to be killed or abused, no matter where they are from! I believe that the United States was created,maintained, and became the greatest of nations because of immigrants! All I am saying is that the scales aren’t balanced! There are SO MANY people suffering here already but no one speaks out for them.

You can sponsor a family. After you help this family for 90 days, I think there is another 3 month wait period and then you can form a new group to sponsor another refugee(s). You can only be a part of one group at a time.
