Every time I see stories like this, I'm reminded of a conversation I had about pro sports vs collegiate sports: my friend said he never watches pro sports because the pros are "only motivated by money" but college athletes "do it for the love of the sport." Back then, my main rebuttal was "where do you think pro players come from? They spring from an ether of greed and money as fully formed men ready to play sports?" and corruption and bribery was a minor point I made. But if I were to have same conversation today with what I know now, the ridiculous assumption that pros don't care about the sport and college players don't care about money would be secondary and the corruption would be my main point.

To quote Pat McAfee, "The way he took that bong rip without coughing, he's the most athletic and healthy player in the draft.". Lmao As someone who has hit a gas mask bong multiple times, I concur.

It's a dope rendition, but isn't it ironic that in a video about black athletes being exploited by an unjust system they use an African spiritual song written by black slaves but performed by white music artists (The Rigs) who are using those lyrics for their own profit?

All those 3 Ole Miss players have struggled in the NFL. Laquan is a bust, Robert has vastly under performed, and Laremy hasn’t lived up to any hype.

I'm hopeful for Laremy. This will be his first year playing his actual position. Dolphins had him playing guard when they drafted him

SWERVE I’m not a dolphins fan and honestly could be totally wrong, but I believed he played guard year 1 and hen tried his natural this past year and was very inconsistent. I see him as a Devante Parker sort of consistency who both ironically play in Miami

Onion Man something about this video and those top 3 Ole Miss players under performing at the NFL level suggests that they all did it for the money, but not only for themselves, but for their families. What I'm alluding to is that they probably didn't love the game of football, but they did it because it paid the bills. None of them are pro bowlers despite being drafted in the 1st round. Therefore everything suggests football as a need for many players who come from these backgrounds, who were told they were built to play a sport that if they excelled at, would make them millionaires. The love of the game is not what drives them, it is the love of family in spite of all the things the sport demands. If they were given the choice, they would not have chosen football as a career, but they don't know any better. They become prisoners to the life they were born into, and nobody teaches them how to build a better life but instead they are fed delusions of grandeur that they could play an unforgiving game that might one day take them out of the suffering. If I was poor all my life and my single mom had to feed my little brother and sister as well as pay rent, you better believe I am doing everything to help them. This is why I couldn't blame Laremy Tunsil and others for taking money from bagmen. Does it look shady? Yes, but if my mom can live a better life I would not think twice given the circumstances.

Al3jandr0101 when you look at it mostly black players spend all their money they get then they bust and are broke and out of the league because they spend it on houses cars jewelry and other things instead of saving it but I get it also because most black players grow up in very poor places in the south so they buy things like crazy once they get millions and nobody come at me saying its racist or anything like that I will not read or respond to it

"“Cheating in sports is cool. It’s more than that, it’s beautiful. It’s no fun when your team’s on the wrong end of it but generally getting mad about cheating is like walking out of the movie theater because you disapprove of the actions of Darth Vader.
