I have made this base many times. Last wipe it survived 3 offline raids and 1 online raid. Its really easy to remember with a bit of learning and a great and defendable base design. Its good looking too The only bad thing is the lack of externals on the sides of the base but those are really easy to make and not a big problem.

​@joeymalcolm2082 you make structures just to house tool cupboards. They block building priviledge, the structure also extends the reach so you can build these structures back towards eachother, so than your building priviledge is stacked. Thats why copying the externals exactly is important, if you cant disconnect them than your base is cooked if main TC gets destroyed. Whereas if you disconnect you can then place a new tc. Multiple tc are especially nice so noone can take your deployables such as t3 bench or grief your base

XD this expansion is shit. 2 garage 1 wall 1 garage main loot and TC. Unnecessary multi TC like 8k stones (first you need to upgrade your main home/TC) And a lot of problems on a real wipe for solo. I will express a constructive opinion with arguments so that other people don't waste their time on this video after seeing my comment

i love the base design but i just want to let you know at the double door in shell that puts you into the up and over part of the base you should switch that honeycomb to the tc side instead on the door side just to give the tc a little bit more protection

If you go in through the 6 box loot room (only 1 wall to outside), you take down the garage door and then floor to TC room and you're in.

Yo I've been using this base and its good for onlines, not that strong for offlines tho. One thing that you can do is to add metal barricades behind the roofs in the peeks so people can't softside. Apart from that, I really like this base and its easy to build. Cheers Secret keep it up

@4:15 I like putting my WB1 and research bench infront of the double doors to the outside so that I can open them and shoot out without worrying about anyone getting it. Works like nice little early game peaks to defend from

I play solo most of the times and just started Rust. While i think it's a great video explaining how to expand , don't think i'll ever build this bcs it's not worth it when solo. Not bad, but the 21:13 mark where you join the section back to the main base, you need to put some extra half walls under the solid tris. Otherwise, the outside half wall is a single point that can be blasted away to knock out the entire connection. Specifically, the spot where you put the turret should really be honey comb, and a pair of turrets on either side, instead.

Had my first successful online defend today. Love the base. I changed the top peaks (the ones from the external to the main low wall under the shooting floor. I made them same height so i could shoot through the tiny gap. Killed 3 then took there loot. Best day in rust ever. Im not a noob but im realy bad at pvp so i was hyped. How to drain the turrets ez. Ladder on the wood wall with the top of the furnace between you and the turret. You should get a spot where no matter what gun is in the turret it should drain.

good base but i don’t think the shooting floor covers the whole compound/near the base. also you might’ve been able to fit a bunker in the wallstack + there were some unused squares that could’ve been extra loot storage or bedrooms. overall though i think its a nice, unique take on a common footprint that’s actually really cheap. it’s definitely usable but i think it could be made a bit better with a couple extra edits, good job 👍

You would need to move the furnaces and put a triangle to build the half wall on or I belive you could just use a twig double door frame on the bottom and build your seal off of that

A tip is to put external tc in a triangle so if people raid your external they gotta blow a triangle to get the loot from it

I've been using this base design for the last 3 wipes on a 2x and 3x server. The base is really good to defend, but let's be honest, who's online for defending their base? I got offlined a lot and really cheap tbh. They would usually just blast through the walls after entering the shell. It's really fun and easy to build, though.

biggest weakness with small/medium bases are that the walls and doors are easy to splash with rockets... I feel people sleep too hard on single doors for when you upgrade to armored walls

side not... first floor turret with the rooves... make sure you have turrets.. the floor that ends up being the bottom of your 6 box loot rooms can be softsided pretty easily if you are offline..
