Totally enjoyed your video and lots of things stood out to me, Sally. Firstly, after the previous chatty video where you talked about your knitting I was inspired to find another summer knit project (it's been 30-35C here in NY the last 2 weeks with 62% humidity! I'd be happy for some clouds and rain atm!!). I found The Emmanuel Tee by Kolibri (I think...or Joanna, it's not clear) and it is so beautiful, but I'm nervous to begin. Also, I've just borrowed the sheep and Goats audiobook from my library app so I'll see how it goes! Currently re-listening to Francine Rivers Mark of the Lion Series. Awesome. Finally, I've also been researching for a while now the whole perimenopause thing and have found a few people on KZbin that have helped me understand my body and this season. They've helped me feel reassured that I'm not crazy, or imagining my symptoms. I was interested to learn that anxiety and insomnia are common symptoms, along with 50 million other things. We are indeed complex beings. Anyway, all the very best for this season of life and for all of your creative pursuits. Thank you for sharing them with us! x

Ah it's difficult isn't it because the symptoms can be put down to so many things or even just being a woman to begin with haha! I get the nervous thing with knitting, it always seems more scary to size a knitting project than a sewing one to me. You need to start though :) I hope you enjoy the book. I've finished now so I'll share my thought soon xx

Sally, I love to watch you as we have the same loves, hobby wise but yet we are so different, I had to smile at your pressing cloth even that is neat and the raw edges finished off, mine is just a piece of silk organza that I bought years ago and still has its raw edges, mine is black cos I would have got a white one in a disgusting state in a second! I like the sound of the fiction book, 1976 has a special place in my heart as it was the year I left school and I got a job picking up litter on Worthing beach, there was a group of 3 of us and we got so brown and had such a good time together, and we did clear the beach too! I love these chatty style videos too and also feel like we’re chatting together, hence the long waffly comment! 😂. I hope you got some summer clothes out this last weekend as it has been boiling hot, but it will probably rain now the kids are breaking up from school! Have a good week ❤

I've never heard of British flapjacks, in North America flapjacks are another name for pancakes. Now I'll have to do some Google research lol. I love the idea of the small printer but I know I'll always have trouble remembering to restock the specialty paper, my ADHD brain just won't allow it 😁

I am a long-time Marian Keyes fan as well Sally and love her humour. I haven’t read her latest, so will order asap. Just wondering if the thermal paper for the wee pink printer is like the old fax paper as this used to fade over time 🤔. Ooh I’m not sure about the paper actually. It has a slight sheen and is nice and light so great for printing any kind of pattern. I have started the hexi quilt now and loving it so far xx

Yes heat printers papers printing fade especially due to heat. For example hot weather, leaving printed papers in the car etc. They are used for receipts in shops, petrol stations etc. I reckon they use this so that customers are less likely to seek refunds or restitution because the evidence of purchase disappears due to heat fade on the receipts. 😂 Ink printed documents are more permanent.
