Vivian, I always made little “period packs” for my girls when they were younger. I would get a little make up bag from DT, and put a couple pads, a pair of clean undies, and a ziplock bag in it. They would keep them in their back packs when they went to school. Many times it saved their days!

Nurse here. Eye twitching (blepharospasm) is usually just from being tired, stressed, not getting enough sleep, stress and anxiety, eye strain like from staring at a screen or book up close for too long (always look up and at something far away for at least 20 seconds to relax your eyes every 20 minutes. Also using blue light filtering glasses while staring at screens help too), dry eyes, and too much caffeine or alcohol. It’s super common, and you’ll be just fine, friend! ❤

Those Emergency period kits are Amazing! I hope I can find them. I have a good friend who is a Resource Counselor at our Local high school. She works with a lot of teens who are going through really, really difficult times. They take donations for food for these students, clothes, personal hygiene, etc.. I have donated what I can to her for her students & these emergency period kits would be an amazing addition. I just pray mine has them. We only have one dollar tree in our town, so if not, I have to drive out to the bigger cities to get more variety! Thanks for doing these videos, they help me to know what to look for! ❣️

I spent my life in healthcare and I know that elderly people with a UTI may just present with a change in level of consciousness. They become a little "off" mentally. Having these tests at home could save an elderly person from becoming septic. Your test strip may have had some type of contaminate on it. E Coli is all over the place, very common, and only effects us if we are weakened or if it is allowed to reproduce to the point where it overwhelms our natural flora.

Urine dip tests will continue to turn colors after their 60 sec window. So you gotta read it right away. Even the tests we do in the offices and hospitals are that way. You gotta read it quickly or you’ll get a false positive.

I've known 2 elderly people wind up in the hospital due to undiagnosed UTI, and one actually died from sepsis. They hadn't had any symptoms related to urinating, but had fever, disorientation, change in mental state, and lethargy. Another older friend just felt "ick" - no pain, frequency, etc. - so while some out there may be like "I *know* when I have a UTI", some won't. I picked up a few of these when I saw them because it's small change to get early diagnosis.

I started my period at 10, we were visiting when I asked my aunt for a pad. She,wanted to know why and I told her I had started. They freaked and thought I was bleeding from another source. After checking they gave me clean undies and a pad and showed me where the M idol and heating pad were in case I needed them. Girls can start younger so please if you have daughters, talk to them as soon as they are asking what is going on. Don't hide your period from girls or boys, don't make it something to be ashamed of. Boys need to understand too so they don't flip when they get older.

I bought 2 of the UTI kits from dollar tree (cuz I had suspicions). I used one and the strip did turn purple-ish. I went to an urgent care and got tested and I didn't have a UTI, but the culture did show some leukocytes in my urine (which is what those dollar tree strips test for) so I'd say it's pretty accurate. Def think it's worth the investment!

One of the uses of the UTI tests is to rule OUT a bacterial UTI. If you're in agony and the test comes back negative, something even worse may be going on.

The spray in the period pack is amazing! Its just like what is used on people in the nursing home or in the hospital for a bed bath because you don't need water. I keep it in my first aid kit to clean a cut or scrap. It cleans good and doesn't burn.

If you eye is twitching, just apply Vaseline before going to bed. As we got older we changed the home remedy used for a twitching eye. My mom used to apply lard or crisco cooking spread. I used Vaseline and it worked. It is caused by air or stress. It might take 2 nights, but usually it works the one time. If it is not gone in 2 days you can apply the Vaseline during the day till it stops twitching. Good luck!

I bought 4 of the little lanterns last summer. Our power goes off periodically and I love them. Since they're LED they last a long time. I work for an ophthalmologist and your eye twitching may be something as simple as too much caffeine. Usually that's the cause but you should talk to your doctor the next time you go if it continues.

Since DT owns Family Dollar and is closing some stores, maybe they'll be absorbing Family Dollar merchandise into Dollar Tree stores. At least in my area, they're up by the registers, but DT also has mid-sized magnifying glasses with LED lights that can be wonderful for things like reading ingredients of things while shopping- and they're small enough to have in a purse.

In a town near me, Ellenville NY, Dollar Tree and Family Dollar were in the same building. Much to my surprise, one day, I walked into Dollar Tree and it was huge inside. If you don’t have insurance, I highly recommend getting those UTI test strips. I get utis at least twice a year and don’t have insurance. I’ve used quickMD, DRondemand and all sorts of online doctor appointment apps to do telemedicine, (which was really convenient when I got one on vacation too) and if you tell them you have a uti a lot of times they want you to go somewhere to do a test before they’ll write a prescription.. which at that point makes the whole telemedicine appointment pointless. HOWEVER, every time I’ve taken an at home test prior to my telemedicine appointment and showed it to them, they accepted that and wrote the script. If you tell them, “I already took the ‘at home’ test so I know I have a uti”, take a pic or show them the strip every service I’ve used accepts it. Some may even just write you the script without the test, but for this price you might as well get them to save time with the proof.

I am a medical microbiologist. Just so you know, even urine cultures are not infallible! There is a thing called "asymptomatic bacteriuria," which means that you have bacteria colonizing your urinary tract but it is NOT a UTI. It's more common in males over 65, but can happen in others. Additionally, if you do not clean the area properly, then contaminants can easily cause false positive tests.

All dollar trees in Canada has increased their prices 1.75 now with tarrifs on Canada I see prices increase again …. As much as I love dollar trees won’t be shopping there till the tarrifs are gone and the prices come down ….
