I've been a CSM all my life for retail. Anything brought back is either thrown out (food), put into a bin to go get refurbished , or put back out on the shelf if nothing was wrong with it (not food, even unopened food and drink is thrown out). I loved this video !

The sugar sheets...there are also rice sheets called rice paper. You use the sugar sheets with a printer that you can out edible ink in. So you can actually print a photo to put on a cake and eat it.

Walmart does different things with returned items depending on the item and the manufacturers. Some items are thrown away, some are sent back to the credited back to Walmart and sent back go the manufacturer and some are sent to Bentonville where there is a Walmart employee store that sells returned items for penny's on the dollar

Cricut used to make a food safe machine. It was discontinued. Sugar sheets are designed to be cut, not printed. There are food safe printers that use food coloring instead of ink to print on rice paper sheets. Thats how bakeries can put your photo on a cake.
