I don’t dry most of my clothes either. Another helpful tip is wash like fabrics together! Don’t put your jeans or towels in with your dresses or t shirts.

Excellent video! I also have cats and I love the fur on them, but not on my clothes. The most difficult thing for me is knowing when an item is past its prime. My next purchase is going to be a portable steamer instead of another pair of jeans I don't need! My biggest take away - take care of what you have instead of buying what you don't need.

Haha! I remember living in south Texas as a kid, our clothes hung dried outside. It was nice. Can’t do that in the Seattle area, except maybe for two moths out of the year. 😆

I am a new subscriber and I have to say you are hilarious! I thought I was the only one in the aisles of, say, Marshalls and is straightening out the hangers and the garments if they're not properly on the hangers, lol. It's just a pet peeve of mine. I too love those velvet hangers. Now that I've had them for a few years I never find clothing on the floor of the closet anymore. And thanks for the Dawn tip, I did not know that. Those grease stains drive me nuts and I've thrown out some shirts when I just couldn't make the stain budge. Now I'm going to try Dawn!

Have you thought about finding your beloved sweater in Mercari or Posh Mark? A couple years ago I had gotten a hole on the hip of my favorite sweater and found one new with tags on Mercari. Mine was already several years old so it was a great deal! 💞

I cut my old T-shirts width wise into strips & loop the strips together. I then roll the strips up into balls of 'yarn' and use that to crochet grocery shopping bags. Love your channel!!

Great great video!! I have switched over to velvet hangers years ago, best thing I’ve ever done. I enjoy ironing 😊 I love handling the fabric and making it look brand new. I’ve always been afraid of steamers for some dumb reason thinking I will burn the fabric 🙈 I was one of those people that used to launder or dry clean after one use but have recently stopped that habit. I give it the sniff test and look it over for stains, if good, hang it back up. Clothes are too expensive to mistreat.

My daughter had a dream steamer that’s no longer in production. I like to iron too but it’s so much faster and did an amazing job! Plus no cord limitation.

You can easily replace a cord. You just need to check the wattage your depiller needed, and what kind of connector it had. I'm sure Amazon will have something that works. I've done it many times.

When I go out I’m wearing an outfit maybe four hours at the most. I agree that if only worn a few hours, there is no need to wash. I’m guilty of wearing older or not so fashionable clothing around the house because I tend to be spontaneously getting dirty. Cooking, gardening or crafting. I don’t want to worry about ruining good clothing and like to feel comfortable. lol one of my daughters loves to send me very comfortable leggings and I use them no matter if “age appropriate “. I need to get the tide sticks! Thanks. Ps lift off sold at the big box is a lifesaver. It gets out set grease or oil based stains, paint and other deep set stains. It may require a second wash with shout or laundry soap rubbed in after. Ps I’m researching steamers too I have a standing steamer sewing style and there’s many things I don’t like about it. My concern is, the new handhelds look heavy ugh. Please show what you choose. So I’m looking at the one Costco has online for 20 less retail.

A friend who was a vet assistant taught me that the best thing to remove blood off of clothing is hydrogen peroxide. Just put it straight on the blood. Do not wet it first.

Cat hair!! 🥴. Do you roll your clothes before you put them in the laundry? I use apt washers and dryers and my clothes still have cat hair on them after they are clean. I've tried balls, microfiber cloths, and rubber thingies and nothing catches the cat hair in the washer or the dryer!!
@Oralia_Martinez

Sometimes. But I’ve also come to accept that with most pieces I simply have my cats with me, even if just a little bit. 😆
