just before the border with Belgium (on our way home to the Netherlands) we drove about 10 km/h because of roadworks. 1 peace of debrea hit my exhaust, my son was about 2 then, just 2 of us) and the car made this awesome sound. I said this Peugeot 205 turbo injection (it was a fast one!) sounds like a Chevy now, don't worry we will make it home. after I finished my sentence the pipe broke. on both sides heavy sparking real cool. my son panicked a bit. I said, don't forger, we are not on holiday, we are on adventure. luckily 30 meterems ahead a gasstation. so drove there. we got out. I gave my son some money and said get yourself a can to drink. He did. and sat down and he said how do we get hone. I said we have road assistance but mum has also tricks! he knew what a winch was, so he got it. together we put it under the car and cricked it up. and now he asked. I got my Leatherman multi tool out of the glove compartment and steel wire (always handy with cars) and I removed both sides of the can (yes giving my son a treat with an hidden agenda hihi) and attached both ends of the pipe into the can and close it of with steel wire. I had allready called road assistance in case I wasn't able to fix it. but I did. and we so the big truck coming and said to my son, look that's part of the adventure!!! we go on that big truck. the guy gets out, said hé that's what I wanted to do! I said put me across the border, I'd rather hassle with dutch police about the noise and speed then with French speaking Belgium police, because they are absolute wankers. so my son got his adventure. now he is 19 and he just, think 2 weeks ago, remembered this because of a question on our thee. that day, he said, he learned, you don't go on holiday, you go on adventure and that also includes cartrouble, but that does not stop the fun. live in general is an adventure. when i was younger, before kid, i even did crazier stuff from st tropez to holland with the whole engine block leaning on steel garden wire hahaha but i made it. exactly to my house, opened the door and i heard a very loud crash/boom engine on the pavement!!!! it was to funny to be sad about it.,

Bring old underwear and socks with holes in it with you, use it one last time and throw it away. That way you don't have to carry dirty laundry on the bike/bicycle ;) But I suppose the dakar guys do not have laundry problems XD

I have another one, my dearly most dearly beloved Peugeot 205 turbo Injection, was dying... I didn't want to let her go. but time came, I wanted to start it and drive it to the the shop, the radiator was dripping. al my cartricks come from my grandpa so also this one, put BRINTA, some kind of flaces to nake dutch wheat porridge for Breakfast, in the radiator and you can still drive about 15 km. It worked! i got 250 guilders for the car, but i've seen the prices now, he hopefully got out this a winner... I am truely sad... i once had a race with a black porsche.. The first 10 meters i was faster, bij 25km he passed me soooo fast, but he stopped en waved at my and gave me (kid besides me hihi) the thumbs-up! i miss my silverbullet...

This is fantastic content guys, I think I speak for a lot of us when I say that we can get the surface level stuff anywhere but the in depth coverage of the real nitty gritty of the Motorsport is only really shown here. More stuff like this!
