Another brilliant video, so very informative. I cannot believe there are no Mimosas before 10 😐 so that could be a deal breaker as always the highlight of my holiday brekkie. Great tips about the pool, what a shame such a lot of it is steps and ledges but on the bright side the beach is so much better than I expected from reviews I had read. Thanks so much for this great series (those one shoulder swimsuits really suit you) - so sorry you missed the fish tacos (our favourites) and so looking forward to day 4. Cannot wait to hear where you are going next, hope it is another Riviera Maya resort ... and soon! 😁

Please can I ask if there is any breakfast buffet places or if it’s all room service? I haven’t seen any breakfast, lunch or evening meal buffet types of options so would just be handy to know! I wouldn’t pay for preferred club as watching your videos I don’t think would be worthwhile for myself and my partner as we love a good normal pool day, and beach days!❤️ loved the vlogs!

My favorite ever, is Beach House Turks and Caicos- but it’s no longer in business. My favorite in Mexico is currently Atelier Playa Mujeres. I’m going back next year to see if it will remain on top or not!

@@MemoriesandMojitosTravel Did you find the main pool area to ever feel overcrowded at Atelier? We looked at this resort, but we are big pool people. It seemed to only have 1 real pool area (besides the rooftop). We loved Xcaret Arte because there were 7 or 8 different pool areas, always somewhere to find some peace and quiet (same with Secrets Akumal).

We had stayed as preferred guest and nothing special for our Anniversary it must be because you are an travel agent, we did get a door banner. They asked us several times during the stay if we were celebrating somethin we told them.

I NEVER tell anyone at the resort that I’m a travel agent. I don’t want a better experience than my clients will have. I don’t want special treatment. I think you just had a fluke, because I have lots of client photos with their banners!

They are not technically allowed, if stopped and searched by customs you will be fined a percentage of the total value. Also, you’ll need permission from the resort if you want to fly over the property. Hope that helps!

Great Vid Guys. I have been wanting to try the Secrets brand for awhile now but I am always taken aback by how much more expensive they are to (what I think are) comparable resorts. like 25-50% higher! Am I missing any sort of membership or insider tricks to finding a deal, or it is what it is?

Hard to say! Pricing at Moxche is definitely high. Do you use a travel agent to book? My pricing is usually much less than the Secrets website.

One more quick question please? Have you any plans to visit the Iberostar Grand Paraiso? We went on a tour of it in 2018 and it looked out of this world - we booked to go immediately but our holiday there has now been cancelled three times with three different travel companies if you can believe it!

No immediate plans. My biggest dislike of Iberostar's is that you need dinner reservations, and can only eat at one place a night. We will often go to sushi as an appetizer before going somewhere else for dinner, or get dinner and then go somewhere different for dessert. Neither of those are allowed, which weighs into my decision when picking a property. However, 2023 is fully booked up except for Christmas, and I'm 90% certain we will not be going to Cancun since we will be going 3-4x that year 🙂

@@MemoriesandMojitosTravel - ohh did not know you could only eat at one place a night - we also love to mix and match and yes reservations are also a pain ...... but have to say am still tempted as on our tour (though even that was hard to get as they initially told us they did not do them due to privacy issues with guests - we were staying at the VIM at the time) the Iberostar Grand Paraiso just looked out of this world. Might Secrets Playa Mujeres be on your 2023 itinerary it was one of our Covid cancelled hols of 2020 and still curious 😊
