Thanks for the guide! I scoured the library and found 3 of the 4. The key was to do them IN ORDER as you mentioned. Once I did that, the final book appeared.

If you right-click them you can melee them to death. If you have a Wand, then unequip it and, if hitting with your bare hand at max level doesn't work, go back & loot a trash dagger or sword from one of the mobs, or use the foam sword toy. If a druid, then cat or bear form & swipe works.

I'm at the broken stairs 2:02 part for some reason the door is lock to go outside. sigh... ah figured it out, if you accidentally use the portal to go outside and back you will see a legion loading screen which will put you in the wrong phase. So I needed to start back again from the main entrance and the door (at the broken stairs) is not there anymore.
