I thought I saw a video of you where you showed how to make the percussion reverse slip and it was something with a reverse and echo time automation but I can’t seem to find it anymore. You’re overthinking and over processing. Basically you should not touch eq and compressor until the mixing process.

Recreating beats like that is usually more complex and requires more processing than creating something "new". I'd bet that the original project would be in quite many places just simpler.
