Allah mentions that it was a person of knowledge in the Quran: "Solomon asked, “O chiefs! Which of you can bring me her throne before they come to me in ˹full˺ submission?” One mighty jinn responded, “I can bring it to you before you rise from this council of yours. And I am quite strong and trustworthy for this ˹task˺.” But the one who had knowledge of the Scripture said, “I can bring it to you in the blink of an eye.” So when Solomon saw it placed before him, he exclaimed, “This is by the grace of my Lord to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful. And whoever is grateful, it is only for their own good. But whoever is ungrateful, surely my Lord is Self-Sufficient, Most Generous.” (An-Naml 27:38-40) Ibn Kathir in his tafsir comments on these ayaat and mentions narrations from Ibn Abbas, Ibn Ishaq and Qatadah about who this person of knowledge was: Ibn 'Abbas said, "This was Asif, the scribe of Sulayman." It was also narrated by Muhammad bin Ishaq from Yazid bin Ruman that he was Asif bin Barkhiya' and he was a truthful believer who knew the Greatest Name of Allah. Qatadah said: "He was a believer among the humans, and his name was Asif."

The majority of mufassireen (scholars) say it was a man from the entourage of Sulayman, (his scribe or a wise man) his name is even mentioned in tafsir ibn Kathir: the shaykh is not making this conclusion by himself but this is the view of the majority of classical scholars, only some of the modern scholars today have concluded that it was the Jinn who completed this task (which is untrue) because they are unable to comprehend that a human can do such a task, but ANYTHING is possible with the permission of Allah (swt)

it is musalla al qibli, not masjid al qibli. Masjid Al Aqsa is the entire compound: 144,000 sqm. You cannot have a masjid inside a masjid. Musalla al qibli is simply a sheltered area to pray within Masjid Al Aqsa. The incorrect defintion of Masjid Al Aqsa is what causes the occupation and zionist incursions to take place with such ease since muslims themselves dont know what their masjid is. My dad is a brealvi It's not true that a human being can do something that is against its own nature and even though the walli concept exists. It's very clear that Soloman pbuh had power over the jinn and its also very clear and very easy to explain why it happend because jinns are not human. Not only did the jinn do other things for Sulaiman AlaihiAsalaam but also they built the temple for him. In the Quran (34:12-14) it says they built things for him. Using Jinn to construct the temple meant that the temple was built with very large stones and built very strongly. This is why jews have such a hard time breaking masjid al-aqsa, because it was built by jinn and is the original Solomon's Temple. Historically, there is no evidence of Solomon's Temple ever being destroyed. Historians say no remains of Solomon's Temple were ever found. Additionally, carbon dating shows the pillars and other structures in Masjid Al-Aqsa are from Sulaiman alayhi salaam's time. Thus, the Masjid Al-Aqsa we have today is the original kaba and Solomon's Temple. (Remember that the original kaba was in Juresalem and was changed to Mecca by Allah at the time of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, as mentioned in the Quran.) When the kuffar say Masjid al aqsa was destroyed, don't believe them. They just want to lighten its importance.
