THE POWER OF ISTIGHFAR People often forget the importance of the simple yet powerful dua (supplication) - Istighfar i.e., saying "Astaghfirullah" (I seek forgiveness of Allah). Some of the benefits and virtues include: • Istighfar removes anxiety. • Istighfar increases dua acceptance. • Istighfar opens the door of sustenance. • Istighfar opens the door of mercy. • Istighfar opens the door of knowledge. • Istighfar is also gateway of productivity. • Istightar relieves you. Allah mentions that it was a person of knowledge in the Quran: "Solomon asked, “O chiefs! Which of you can bring me her throne before they come to me in ˹full˺ submission?” One mighty jinn responded, “I can bring it to you before you rise from this council of yours. And I am quite strong and trustworthy for this ˹task˺.” But the one who had knowledge of the Scripture said, “I can bring it to you in the blink of an eye.” So when Solomon saw it placed before him, he exclaimed, “This is by the grace of my Lord to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful. And whoever is grateful, it is only for their own good. But whoever is ungrateful, surely my Lord is Self-Sufficient, Most Generous.” (An-Naml 27:38-40) Ibn Kathir in his tafsir comments on these ayaat and mentions narrations from Ibn Abbas, Ibn Ishaq and Qatadah about who this person of knowledge was: Ibn 'Abbas said, "This was Asif, the scribe of Sulayman." It was also narrated by Muhammad bin Ishaq from Yazid bin Ruman that he was Asif bin Barkhiya' and he was a truthful believer who knew the Greatest Name of Allah. Qatadah said: "He was a believer among the humans, and his name was Asif."

Thanks for the info, but why the scary music. Infact most Islamic videos have some nasheed and irrelevant background scenes popping up. When you have important information, this just distracts - others don’t do this and are quietly succeeding. Muslims have to lose the gimmicks and nasheeds and get serious, past generations were successful without all the noise.

it is musalla al qibli, not masjid al qibli. Masjid Al Aqsa is the entire compound: 144,000 sqm. You cannot have a masjid inside a masjid. Musalla al qibli is simply a sheltered area to pray within Masjid Al Aqsa. The incorrect defintion of Masjid Al Aqsa is what causes the occupation and zionist incursions to take place with such ease since muslims themselves dont know what their masjid is. May Allah guide us.

Ifrit the Jin offered to bring the throne. But a man of knowledge (he knew the greatest name of Allah) offered to bring it quicker than the Jin and he did that by Allah's will. Read surah Naml ayat 38-40. Ibn 'Abbas said, "This was Asif, the scribe of Sulayman." It was also narrated by Muhammad bin Ishaq from Yazid bin Ruman that he was Asif bin Barkhiya' and he was a truthful believer who knew the Greatest Name of Allah.

@AIMAN_NAJAM the ayah doesn't say whether its a jinn or human
@AIMAN_NAJAM2 ай бұрын
@Sufficient4UsIsAllah yes it could be a jin. Or it could be a human. According to the Tafsir of Ibn 'Abbas, Asif bin Barkhiya was a scribe and relative of Prophet Sulayman, and a non-prophet human, or Wali of Allah. Asif is mentioned in traditions as a pious manservant who was entrusted by Solomon with the task of bringing the throne to the palace. Asif prayed to God for help, and the throne appeared in the palace by God's power. The reason I trust this interpretation is because ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-ʿAbbās (born c. 619-died 687/688, aṭ-Ṭāʾif, Arabia) was a Companion of the prophet Muḥammad, one of the greatest scholars of early Islām, and the first exegete of the Qurʾān.
