I remember exploring the whole outpost that time because i was bored and had nothing to do, the amount of secrets i uncovered out of boredom is unreal.

all six of the tablets in each vault reeads: We advanced as we were designed, we reached the great kind one. It warned us of the final plague the threat to all that thrive. The great one has a plan a door of keys for the chosen, but we were builders not heroes. In the event that the plan failed we carved the infinite sanctuary to salvage what little life we could. We are destined to not remain as is the great kind one. Its legacy will be its remnants and ours shall be our temples. this is also on starbound Wikipedia.

The ferozium staff has an ability called force cage, and this creates a cage that is supposed to be used to trap your enemies, but you can actually use these cages as platforms to slowly make it up there.

You can also "fly" around the Outpost using an Attraction Zone staff or hop around using the Ferozium Staff's Force Cage, though admin mode rocket spear or mods are infinitely more convenient. And in addition to being the best armour in the game Perfect Pants are great for farming Pixels via Fluffalo->trade drops at Treasured Trophies->craft pants->sell to buy more Fluffalo.

I think The Great Kind One is the Cultivator, & the Final Plague is the Ruin. The 'door of keys' is obviously the Ark, the 'chosen' are the six main races, the Infinite Sanctuary is probably the pocket dimension where the vaults are, judging from all the element-specific wildlife you find in them.

You can technically fly with a gravity EPP and a Rocket Spear or Drill Spear. No mods needed

2:50 Technically false. The Ferozium staff alt fire can create a grid/block that you can jump on. You then use your multi jump charges to go vertically before placing another cage beneath your feet. Rinse and repeat till you're to the top. And yeah, I'm that guy posting an "aktualy" comment on a 3 month old vid.

Vanilla. You get it by getting a crew. Every time you have 2 more crew members (at one time) you get a quest to turn in Upgrade Modules to Penguin Pete.

I tried to get into the hidden area in stable 1.3 and it's no longer there and if you try to use the ball to get down there, you will free fall for a very long time, giving you lots of time to tp out of there. Also you can get on top of the ark by using a grappling hook but there is nothing of interest there up there.

You can use the staff you can craft to move using the cage (jump, cage, jump, cage) that's how I got to the top of my world to make a space village.
