it's honestly all great, i feel my tastes overlap with david's (tkog) in some places, as in no-nonsense pedals that only make useful sounds (whilst still having some weirder stuff too). all of these are worth picking up!

my favourite phaser! with modulation & filter effects i find simplicity is best. love vintage ehx, the big box small stone is the best!

Great video as always 😊 Always awesome to see some love for the original DOD 440 (and not that FX25-based reissue from 2014 😝)! Just one tiiiiny nitpick: the Small Stone that Jonny used on OK Computer was a Version 2 from the 1970s, with the simple orange letters on bare metal and no LED. The one with the white text and LED is the Version 4 from the 2000s, which Jonny acquired in around 2004. I’m sure Jonny considered that an upgrade, since he previously added an LED to his DOD 440 haha!

thank you! having a lot of fun with your pedals (as per usual). oh really! i saw a 90s rig diagram that had this version of the small stone, i need to try out the older version. i wonder if / how much the sound is different between the two! i really prefer the big box over the nano version, it seems to be a much stronger & washier sound :)

​@@pedalpartners Glad the Pitch Magpie is living up to the others :) And I remember when that diagram was some of the only Jonny info around. But we did some digging, and finally have good photos from that era showing the version 2. But for me, the version 4 that you have is the best! The nano is a tad weaker sounding, and the older ones have volume issues. Though at the end of the day, they all sound like Small Stones, quite different from any MXR phaser haha!
