To add onto the dodgeball one: Go for the weaker, slower, easier players first. This does things: 1. Quickly tips the balance in the favor of your team by giving you the better ratio early on. 2. Provides a buffer which makes it harder for the better players to re-enter the game 3. Makes your team more confident since it looks like they're "winning"

One reason it may be a good idea to not built hotels in Monopoly is because you can put up to 4 houses on each property. If you have the funds, you can use up a lot of the houses. Other players will get stuck when all of the houses have been bought and will have to wait until someone either buys a hotel or sells houses.

Last thing for monopoly: Focus on the less expensive ones. You can build a hotel for nearly nothing and it gives you good cash flow. Furthermore, your opponents will certainly focus the most expensive so they won't pay to much attention to you, and when they'll notice, it'll be too late.

There will always be a power struggle in every argument. Rather than play the game I simply draw attention away from the issue and focus on what the conditions are in the argument. There is a point to be made and how it's made makes all the difference. If I don't like how the argument is turning out I know I can simply end the conversation and refuse to speak any further on the matter until a later time of my choosing. It's better not to lose you're cool and come back later than blow up all together. Giving you the moment needed if you require a counter strategy.

If you want to play good pool here's my 3 tips (pun intended): 1) Stand so that your center of gravity is in the middle of your body (even when leaning over), so that you're not being pulled forward (which limits your pool arm action). 2) Keep your head low and pool elbow high and make sure all three are in a straight line from elbow, through tip to cueball, onto object ball and pocket. 3) Like the video says, follow through and pay attention if you miss the pot to see what caused it. Was it your center of balance, your elbow or your attention to the angle? Don't worry about getting the angle right. Do all of these three and getting the angles right is automatic.

Another thing to keep in mind for Monopoly is that the single most common start point for any roll is jail. There are chance, community chest, triple doubles, and direct landings which all result in this same outcome. The end result of this is that the oranges are BY FAR the best color set on the board. Most sets which have advances (aside from the reds) become essentially worthless once their advance is out of the chance deck. It's generally best to avoid the dark purples/browns (Mediterranean and Baltic), but if you acquire them, always keep hotels on them. Three houses on Mediterranean will net you a cool $90, but a hotel will net you $250. Three houses on Baltic will get you $180, but a hotel nabs you $400. In fact, the total cost of the set plus hotels (in the long game) is $620, and a single landing on Baltic will get you $400 of that back. So only bother with them if they are your only set, it's very early, or if there is very little money in the game. It is difficult to finish a player off with the $400 on Baltic due to the Go space being just before, and thus covering half of the cost of a landing. The worst set in the game with standard rules is the green set. Their cost versus return equation leaves them sorely lacking...with an upfront cost of $920 just to own the set, without a single house...coupled with their value only becoming a real threat at 3 houses each, that is a total cost of $2720 to get them off the ground...and net you $900 on a landing, less than 1/3 of what it cost to get you to that point.

Half of the monopoly tips were good, the other half not and the important tips were left out. There are several different versions of the game, so I won't refer to the streets by name. First, buying everything you land on is correct, while some are more efficient than others, it doesn't matter much, buying more property is good. Second, every time you cross the start-field you get an amount of money from the bank we will call X. This is the most important gain aside from property, so you want to deny your opponent that. What you do, is you build houses and hotels on your property so that every street will cost the victim X, that's what you aim for, don't go higher. More properties on which they'll have to pay X are better than a single property where they have to pay a multiple of X. Third tip, and that's most important. buy properties adjacent to each other. You want a long chain of properties with as little holes as possible. The oppnent will move with 2d6. So that's 2 upto 12 tiles, with 7 bing the most common result. What you want is that no matter what he rolls, he needs to pay you X once per round. If you would own 12 properties next to each other, him landing on them would be garanteed, that's not possible, to we do the next best thing, getting as close to that ideal as possible. The rest really is just patience and attrition.
@johannesvanderhorst97787 жыл бұрын
If you have limited money, it still is better to have one property on what opponent has to pay you 3 times X, than to have two properties where on each of them opponents have to pay you just X. This way, locations not counted, your expected income is 3X/7 an opponent rather than 2X/7 an opponent.
@help43437 жыл бұрын
Most people who have played Monopoly know to buy unowned property you land on. It is mostly a game of luck, and usually all you can do strategy wise in outsmart you opponents in trading
@krotenschemel85587 жыл бұрын
I disagree with both assessments, monopoly isn't about maximising your money gain, it's about getting your opponents out of buisness. Moneymaking isn't the objective, it's just one of the mechanics. You don't need to maximize your profits, you need to minimize the potential of the oppent to operate. The general strategy to trading is: you want property that's in the same set as yours and near the bulk of your property. In doubt go for the second quater. Of all the other sets, you should keep only one street as it's just to deny your opponent building stuff on the set.
@johannesvanderhorst97787 жыл бұрын
The more money you gain from opponents, the more money you force them to lose, hence the closer you get them to be bankrupt. And if in the mean time you earn that money, you stay further away from being bankrupt. Hence you increase your odds of winning the game.
@Buglin_Burger78786 жыл бұрын
Monopoly isn't a game about one thing, it is about 2 things and how each effects the other. Buying a street prevents an opponent from getting it, getting an opponent's money gives you more money to use against them. While having more streets in a small area increases your percent when they are there to get money... they are more likely to only pay once per cycle since if you use 2 dice... this means all adjacent tiles are ignored meanwhile you'll have to pay more having less safe tiles around the entire board. Your shops might be more powerful, but also rely more on chance and encourage you to pay others more. Similarly Jail itself has a unique benefit of being the most potentially important tile if you play with double dice letting you roll again and sending you to Jail on 3 successful doubles. The tiles ahead of Jail are more likely to be visited as people get sent to Jail more often, while the tiles behind Jail are visited less since you have more chances to hit the 3 doubles needed. Ultimately it is all random chance though, meaning that no matter what you do or how smart you play people can simply never land on anything you own. It might even be luck your strats work.
@Huhwjaeff6 жыл бұрын
I always win rock paper scissors anyway. I just see what the opponent is about to play before their hand even forms the shape then counter fast enough that no one has ever noticed. I would recommend just increasing your reaction speed somehow and you’ll find your rate of wins becoming a lot higher. If your reaction takes at least 1 second then your reaction speed isn’t high enough and the opponent will notice. If you can do this in less than a second then you’re set.

Pool player here. #1 First bit about nerves.... A shot routine is what Pro's use to counter the effect of feeling the pressure. Line-up, approach, address cue-ball, use 3 - 5 or even 7 practice strokes but use the same each shot until it is ingrained and no longer has to be thought of. Some players make a habit of walking around the table once before more difficult shots. The pre-established structure/fundamentals will elevate a players game into the "zone" or being "in-stroke" with greater consistency than having no shot-routine at all. Swigging on RedBull... player preference I spose, but just like coffee too much of it can create tension in the shooting mechanics... the arm delivering the stroke of the cue is the ONLY BODY PART that should move in the shot.... and should be relaxed, same with the hand cradling the butt of the cue. Caffeine can mess with those things a bit. Forget what they said about breaks. The #1 THING to know about the break in Pool is: Cue Ball Control! In both 9-ball and 8-ball leaving the white ball in the middle of the table after a solid break is the position offering the greatest percentages of having a shot after the break. If you have NO CLUE how to do that, you should have a knowledgeable player 'show' you. But then each pool table is a unique individual and soft breaks and other more refined break-shots are available. The last bit about Following through the Cue ball on the shot is CRITICAL. Peace.

Depends upon what you want. If most people would stop and ask "What am I trying to win here?" before getting into those silly arguments, they'd find more peace in their lives. Honestly, my wife and I are amazed at how complicated people make their marriages and what little things will lead to break some of them up.
@RandomCarrot28067 жыл бұрын
I'm not saying that men should be determined to win silly arguments at all costs but rather that if you just roll over on the things you care about that will lead to a terrible one sided marriage.
@JedForge7 жыл бұрын
I get what you're saying and agree to a point. No two people are going to agree 100% of the time and how you deal with those inevitable disagreements is going to determine how successful the relationship is. My wife and I get snippy with each other, but we never let it devolve into scorekeeping or personal attacks. It's just I've seen so many times with others where I wanted to bonk the guy on the head and say "Seriously? You left her/let her get away over that?!?!?!" And not trying to imply any perfection on the other side of the gender gap. I have a friend that couldn't do anything he wanted until everything on his wife's "honey-do" list was done and even then only if she wasn't going out with her friends that night. He's still married to her though and SEEMS happy /shrug. Bottom line, if you're constantly preparing for an argument and if there's a lot of "scorekeeping", that's a huge red flag that should have been identified long before the vows. Yes, you shouldn't let yourself be stomped on all the time, but there are times where you really need to ask yourself what you're going to win when you go into an argument? My $1.50 anyway /shrug. Never claimed to be an expert :)

In darts, if you frequently miss the number you're aiming for, try aiming for the triple-14 in '01 games. With the 9 & 11 adjacent, your near misses will count more. Also, I've often heard the saying "Point at what you're throwing at." In other words, follow through with your wrist such that after your release you're pointing at your target. And probably most important, RELAX.

In monopoly, the light blue are the absolute best. I swapped two reds for one light blue, making my opponent think it was a good deal for him. Here's the catch. Houses and hotels on light blue only cost £50, while on the red they cost £200. Instantly could afford to put hotels on them all and since its right after go, immediately got £1200 or something from people landing on it, which made him so low on cash he couldn't afford houses.

Orange, red, yellow, and purple are the best properties in Monopoly (in that order). Jail is the most common square for people to end up on in a game (Chance, Community Chest, Go To Jail space, rolling 3 doubles all send you to jail). Owning properties after it are best, but purple is very easily over-rolled from jail so it has the lowest priority.

god i miss having a pool table in my house. Few things i would have put in a video of "playing pools at bars etc" 1. roll your stick on the table to find the one with the least amount of warp. 2. make sure when your breaking you rack the balls as tight as possible. 3. the video kinda covered it but how you hold the the pole is maybe the most important thing to master and not every hand is the same on the person so the way to grip it varies from person to person so don't get hung up on copying other peoples form and work on it yourself with some "how to" videos to see the best ways to hold your stick. 4. DO NOT play people in there 50's or older for money at bars and such. They didn't have video games and such growing up and most have played for hours a day when they were kids/teens/old enough to go to bars. Even if they "haven't played in years" , even is true its like riding a bike and after 1 or to shots it all comes back to them. 5. unless you really know what your doing always makes sure to take at least 2 lined up shots without hitting the cue ball just to make sure the isn't any friction. lol i just realized this is a stupid comment since this isn't a video you watch to "get good" at pool and there are millions of others " how to play pool" videos , i'm only keeping this comment for the tip about not playing odler people for money. I use to rarely have to pay for drinks when going out to the bar but learned that there is a genaration gap between younger and older players in chances into running into someone who can basically run a table.

lazer tag - i am pretty much always top 3, if not 1st place overall, be it teams or FFA. 1 - true. 2 - this doesn't apply as much where i play, because you wear a big flashy vest, and there are blacklights in alot of places - meaning pretty much everything glows. 3 - this helps, but only so long as the layout remains unchanged. some places(such as the one i play at) will occasionally reshuffle or add to the layout to level the playing field for a bit. one of the biggest things that wasn't mentioned, but helps immensely - hold the weapon to your shoulder(if its a rifle-type layout), or an SMG type closer to your body, but always in line with your body. this makes aiming occur naturally, and gives you more control of your weapon when whirling. know your weapons is another one - where i play, there is a "killstreak" where your weapon becomes automatic until you are hit. so i can game this such that i pick off a pair of people from the other team, know i have 5-6 players coming up the side, and then i can eliminate them all with rapid fire before they know what hit them.

Qatar in Scrabble? Isn't that a proper noun?

I checked the scrabble website dictionary and it says it is not a word. I guess if your playing with friends you could let it go

Says in 2010 they're changing the rules (in some versions) in hopes it "will encourage younger people to play" - whatever that means. Somehow I survived playing it with the old rules as a young person 50 years ago. The rules aren't the problem, it's limited vocabulary - people getting dumber.

4:40 - to win at dodgeball, you gotta remember the f D's of dodgeball: Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive, and Dodge. Being able to dodge a wrench helps, too.

Who would win? A well thought out argument that has facts which could destroy their opponents or No u
@Megatron9956 жыл бұрын
It depends on the intellectual and emotional maturity level of your opponent. A cerebral-type opponent won't bow without the facts. If you're arguing with an idiot, go for "no u" - anything better won't even be heard because they'll just shout their idiocy over you.

Have a very good cue stick when playing billiards, too. Through college my campus had millions of dollars to play with every year. Flat screens everywhere, computers with latest specs, gigantic beanbag chair...beds, awesome sound systems, ... and cheap ass cue sticks for the billiard table(s) that had zero weight to them. I'd bring in my own, it had some good weight to it. That cue ball and any it hit would go flying off the table!

The very first set of properties in monopoly makes your enemies broke. 1. Cheap to buy and upgrade 2. Decent amount of payment rent when upgraded. 3. Cancels payout when enemies land on your property. 4. Rinse and repeat. 5. Watch them slowly go broke.

2 more tips for dadgeball: 1. wait for when they throw and then turn back around to get another ball. 2. get 2 balls, then throw the first, but miss on purpose, so they get distracted by that, then strike.

How I play in each. 10- Darts: I hit Center Bullseyes nearly everytime. I'm rather accurate. 9- Scrabble: Never played... 8- Arguements: Hit and miss; win some, lose some. 7- Jenga: Difficult, but I usually last awhile. Unless it's cold. 6- Dodgeball: Highly evasive, mediocore range. Catching occasionally. 5- Monopoly 😲: The game never ends... It's an endurance contest. 4- Arm Wrestling: I am wirey, so I am kinda hard to put down... But the only way I win is if the other guy gets tired or hurts the wrist. 3- Lazer Tag: Dunno, but I feel I'd be a good aim... Not so sure about dodging lights. 2- R. P. S.: I pick at total random. It's about evaluation of opponent psyche. Without a mind to evaluate, it's tricky to pinpoint. 1- Pool: Steady aim, but not willing to bet on a game.
