I like the love u have for our race but a correction needs to be understood. We are not black folks. It's a derogatory term influenced by Negroe coalition leaders fulfilling their obligations to the pale skinned race, who gave them an ok to be in their position. It's all about pacification, when dealing with most of our Negroe American leaders. A yes man will do what ever to make sure their paychecks that stems from a white mans payment plan is secured. Even if they know they're selling it there on. It's business, not personal.

I almost had a chance to meet him back in August of 2017 when he came to South Florida to do stand up at a venue for comedians in Palm Beach....i really really regreted not got going to see him do his storytelling...a little after he came done thats when the news broke that he had died the people that he were exposing had been at him for years but he had people in high places that were protecting him and looking out for him....he even said out of his own mouth in one of his inteviews that he has had researchers that have died for the info that he was giving to us....he was one of the most influential elders of our time and he will truly be missed...R.I.P Babba Dick Gregory.

People are funny I read the comments and I see Complaints about Mr Gregory repeating his jokes and his poor timing and inability to stay on the subject.What they fail to understand is He is not Telling jokes he is doing Political Consciousnesses work.its the most difficult work to do, to get The masses to change their ways of thinking.to give them courage to ask critical questions and don't just accepted official versions of events...Mr Gregory is using his platform to create awareness.if you still think He is a Comedian then you lost the plot and are really stupid...
@TwistedStorytellers4 жыл бұрын
futurefarms maybe not stupid, maybe lost the plot or didn’t know there was a plot to begin with. That’s why we do this work. To expose all of us to each other, to learn, to disagree, be disagreeable, be freedom of speech. Thank you for your intellect and insight. ❤️
@siriuslyspeaking97204 жыл бұрын
That may have been his intention but he is human, just like the rest of us, and what he says should be questioned also. Gregory twist the old saying that we have to be twice as good to get ahead. We always said it to point out the unjustness of White people and the society they created. He does the same for the talk we give our children about the police. Very few if, any tell their children to respect racist cops, if cops at all. We were told to be leery of them. I once heard Gregory say that hurricanes were a curse on the U.S. because of slavery. He justified this conclusion because hurricanes often first form off the coast of West Africa and travels the same route that slave ships took to get to the Americas basically the ocean currents I believe. He implied that this was a curse on White people, but these storms do more damage to areas Black people live in, and the word hurricane comes from an indigenous American language. That is no way to foster critical thinking among Black people. He does make you look at things in a different way. I'm not sure that qualities as being critical.

I believe Dick Gregory represented an end of racism. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr said, "I look forward to the day when a man's is judged by the content of his character." The one thing we can all be sure of is we are all conceived by humans and born human beings. We can be assured "that death and constipation are the equalizers. And respect is earned." May Nature's God bless brother Dick Gregory for serving to point out how foolish it is to be a racist. Remember you can only fool a fool. ~ William Lynch Document of 1712 "Let's Make A Slave."

Dick is getting old and slow! I have seen him do this material many times, and I notice that his timing is getting off more and more and his delivery. No diss here, just something I noticed. But I wish he would remain on topic when he hits a good story like Whitney Houston conspiracy or Mike Brown in Ferguson, he tends to stagger past the points and not finish his thoughts and give us all of the info. Sad, I just wish he'd finish the story.
