Wooden 2nd Peter chapter 3 be talkin about premillennial the first few verses and then post-millennial a new Heaven and new earth. The first part would definitely be talking about the next time he shows up. It is simple because we are told to be ready so we do not experience Christ coming on us as a thief. And 2nd Peter chapter 3 is telling us that the Lord will be coming as a thief unexpectedly. For Christ tells us himself that he comes at a time when you think not. I've heard Pastor Bohr apply it to your name being called in the judgment is like being come upon like a thief and one could look at it in that light also has a dual application.
