To avoid frogging the collar you could keep going as you are with the increases at the bottom, then fold it up to either make an inside pocket or an outside pocket... outside would look cute & great hand warmers!😜 You could add a button & button hole to it if you don't want it gaping open when not in use... that'd look cute too!👍 I'm not a fan of any of those needles, other than the bent tip clover needle!👌 As I usually crochet with finer yarns, I prefer using a darning needle with a slightly sharp point, as it's finer for going through thinner yarns.... not as easy to thread though.😏 Congrats to Nikki & Penny & welcome to the family!🥳 Blessings from South Australia💕🐨

I actually like how the collar on the pink sweater comes down to a point. But I also thought it could be cute to add a shell or some lacy detail in that inverted "valley" created where the collar is joined at the side of the sweater. That would fill it in and be decorative, would still keep the point on the collar end AND would save from frogging and redoing. Alternatively, you could try those post stitches again with a larger hook. That could give it some flop and drape. Then you could do decreases at the end as well.

That panda is SO SOFT looking. Love the cream color. I bet a decrease would work for that...kinda like how hat brims are worked. Could do an occasional camel stitch for texture but probably doesn't need it. Crickets for an hour, too funny. I still don't have a favorite needle.

I don’t even bother with yarn needles anymore for weaving my ends in cause they just never worked well for me and eventually my tails would wiggle out. Now I go with embroidery needles and WOW, what a difference. You can get them with different “eyes” to accommodate your yarn and have a nice sharp point. Never have had a yarn end slip undone since using them. And not pricey either. 🤗
@samanthamurdock37524 жыл бұрын
Hi! From a distance it almost seems like a lace wide triangle would fit in the spot at the bottom of the collar on pink &grey sweater maybe a grey lace motif could be a pocket to tie it together or maybe you could fold the end of collar up on an angle to become a pocket and extend the fold over with motif or more crochet fabric to make pocket deeper. Just some ideas I thought I’d share for you! How cute would a Pom Pom border would be around edge to wiggle as you walk!

I know you're a perfectionist, but if you don't wanna frog the collar again, you should fold up the edge the way you showed us that you would decrease and just sew it into the shape you want. Then, you can add one more final row/edge to that entire colla, maybe with a picot edging to give it some flare. I mostly use the Susan bates flexible needles cuz I don't have long tails. I don't like to waste yarn on long tails!! Lol
