Sir, I have a doubt. In the case of set off, is it the date on which the set off was claimed or the date on which the original suit was instituted? Because I believe it's talking about the date when the suit was instituted and not when the set off was claimed.

In case of set off it's written on the same date as the suit...that means on the date on which suit is instituted...from that date it shall be treated as a separate suit.I think it's correct.plz explain

yes from the date of Suit instituted. Section says that in the case of set off, on the same date as the suit in which the set off is pleaded. so it is from the date of institution of the suit
